I have em but I get consistancy errors whenever I put em in 1.6.

what, the pees or all of them?
Mr. T

pees since you can't get consistency errors on vees unless the animations are really outta whack

Ive got thgem all now, everything, the only problem is that the player models don't work, which is a shame because they are sooo nice, and i didn't put the peees into my folder as i thought they wouldn't work, but everything else does and sounds too, valve are off their heads not to include these because they are just soo much better.

has anyone even stopped to question the authenticity of these supposed cs:cz wep skins? Here are the problems that I have with them, correct me if I'm wrong:
1) The fact that this guy even has what he claims are the cs:cz weapon skins. And no they weren't from the hl2 source code that was stolen, because hl2 and cz are completely unrelated. different engine, developers, etc etc etc.
2) A lot of the weapon models in-game look nothing like the weapons skins in any of the cs:cz screenshots/trailers I have seen.
3) There is hardly any uniformity between the weapons models; number of polygons, amount of detail, lighting, etc.
4) It was my understanding that the creators of CS (goose and so on) had a deal with the real-life creators of the knife that is modeled in 1.6... it seems odd that they would scrap that model and re-adopt the old one.
5) The weapons sounds are extremely poor quality and inconsistant with anything I've ever heard from old weapons sounds.
Maybe I'm just reading this incorrectly. Are the weapons skins that everybody is downloading from ritual or are they supposedly packaged with actual cs:cz? The only thing I can see that the models have in common are the arms/hands/gloves.
I'm just rambling, let me know what you think. All this put aside, the models aren't half bad. For the mean time at least, I'll give 'em a try.

The only thing I can see that the models have in common are the arms/hands/gloves.these are definetly the cz models that Ritual made but aren't being used. The leaker guy released a package of ritual's work on cz, turtle rock studio's work on cz (as of sept. 30), regular old 1.6 (as far as I can tell), dod 1.1, and old dod. if you look at all the cz screenshots and all these models they are definetly the right ones. I'm not sure what you're talking about how they don't look like the ones in the screenshots. also, to address you're first point, the guy got everything. he got pretty much every file valve had and that he thought was related to hl, hl2, dod, cs, cz, anything. and no, apparently the models that ritual made are not being packaged with the new cz, although i looked through the folder that was turtle rock studio's work and there was a folder in the models folder called "new players" and these are high poly redone player models that don't work with 1.6 and that I was referring to earlier.

my point about the models being different then the screenshots was in reference to the screenshots (I guess) of turtlerock's work. I didn't differentiate between the work down by them and what ritual did.
at any rate, I fail to see people's anthusiasm opver mediocre work that won't even be packed with cz.
thx for the clarification.

good now that we're all on the same page, i agree. its too bad that valve, apparently, is throwing away all of ritual's work on the game, but i'm glad that they tried to make a better product. unfortunatly, i just don't see it happening. from what i understand, bots are going to be available to all, not just cz owners, and the only things that will be cz specific are the new textures/map upgrades, and the weird single player features they whipped up.

I agree that the direction in which CS was going when it was being developed by ritual looked much more exciting than it does now, but I'm still going to find myself at best buy the morning of the 18th (or 19th?) buying cz. call me a sucker for hard luck cases.

Okay one question:
Are these the final weapons used in CSCZ or were they scrapped?
gumplunger
10-20-2003, 03:47 PM
these were the weapon skins developed by ritual that apparently are being scrapped for the final version of CZ.

you won't ever see these skins again. the skins in cz will be the same ones as the skins in cs 1.6.

i know, i just dont understand why they would scrap the missions, the new weapons, the updated skins and all the other stuff, which i was really looking forward to, and instead release something like CS 1.6 against bots (which sounds really booooring)...
it kinda pisses me off, i mean who didnt like the way ritual was taking it? and why not?
Jord@n

I really can not see why Valve whined and said that the models animations were poor and didn't work, a guy from ritual said that they prob tryed to use the single player models online, other than that all they did was fix animation errors or make some new animations, the 3rd reloading animations look better now too.
