need help... weird error message

< posted this in the hl2 & cs:source forum as well - wasn't sure which forum took precidence over this issue. >

I was playing CS:SOURCE earlier today (around 2pm U.S. eastern) and everything was normal. No problems connecting to servers, etc.

I get off work (12:30 am) and jump online to play and I can't connect to any servers!! Here is the message that I get when I try to connect:

"Disconnect: Error verifying STEAM UserID Ticket(server was
unable to contact the authentication server, 35)"

- Rebooted and got the message again.
- Tried to create a server and got the message.
- Tried to connect to my own dedicated server and again got that friggin message.

Should I just uninstall/reinstall? Or is there an easier fix?

Any help would be appreciated.

Nevermind....

I logged out of my steam account, logged back in with password and now it's working fine.

Strange little bug but, fuck it.

help! I just got this same problem, and restarting steam does NOT work!
What do I do?

Ok........

Instead of exiting out and restarting...

I clicked on the STeam icon in my toolbar and clicked on 'options' then 'log in as different user'

Next thing that happend was it popped up a login prompt with my screen name already there and I just re-entered my password.

After that, I just opened up CS:SOURCE and was able to play normally.
