Problems

I have some questions:

Firstly, I recently joined a server where all of the writing is purple, your menu's change permanently (to ones like you use in a deathmatch, where you press numbers to pick stuff etc) and changes your crosshair to a solid purple. I don't know how to get this off, as it is staying on for every server I go on and even my custom BOT servers!

Second, I have plenty of sounds. I was wondering if there is any way to make it so that when I kill someone with a headshot, the "HEADSHOT" sound happens on a custom BOT server.

And Finally, None of the downloads on the site seem to be working for me. I try to download something, I click on the desired server to download it from and 5-10 seconds later "Page Cannot Be Displayed" appears and I can't download it!

Can somebody please answer these questions, the ESSENTIAL one being the first.

Delete your config.cfg in the cstrike folder. Then play CS, it will create a new one. Change your settings back to how you like them, then make the file read-only, so it won't happen again.

Thanks a ton man. Got any idea about the second thing about the sounds? Or any idea why the downloads won't work? :D

Oh, and by "site" I am talking about this site - CSNation, not the CZ site.

You cannot add those sounds to a custom server, only a dedicated one with plugins. So that's a no go. And for the downloads, I find when I go to the download page, I don't need to click on a mirror for the download to start. Could be because I'm a Nationalist though ;)

If you want those sounds, you need to get metamod and some addon (AMX for example) that can run those sounds, and install them in your cstrike directory.
Use google, etc or even the link in my sig to find out how to do this.
