i went to elizabeth the other day to find a lovely CSS game in a EBGames store, so i bought it..
later that day i came back from my friends house and onto my computer to try installing CSS.
i started installing CSS, everything going OK until it got to the disk cost stage.
it sarted calculating the needed disk space for CSS and day of defeat source and HL2 DM which came with it, and it never stopped calculating..
so i followed some help from one of these threads, and found i could install it through putting the cd-key in steam, so i did this and steam started downloading the files.. i wanted to not download CSS DODS HL2DM because my downloads are capped at 40GB, so i started up the disk again once the downloading reached around 2-3% and decided i didnt want to waste downloads and tried to install it again, this time it worked as some of the cgf files where already partly downloaded so it could now calculate the needed space and started installing.
i tell all this because if anyone has trouble installing CSS out of the box, that they try putting the cd key in steam and download around 3% of the game and the cd install should than work.
thank you to the member who mentioned that i can register a ck key int steam game
