...is vote spamming.
Nothing makes me as hot under the collar as an idiot who doesn't get the clue the first time. Or a smacktard who is trying to screw things up for another player, or the whole server.
I have yet to see a map change or a player be removed from a server from a vote. In fact, only seldom have I seen a commander removed.
So give it a rest, gents.

Yup, Clean Sweep is not a very likeable map...

you know why? because its crap! if maps were women kirkand would be some tall, hot, leggy brunette and cleansweep would be some fat ugly mole w/ bleached blonde hair that is falling out in patches.
lmao
cleansweep isn't my most unfav map but its near... if only the damn usa side wasn't so ****in far..... the weapons and main layout is a good map is just it takes too long to travel over there and its just not very orderly

I like the people who join a game and initiate a vote to mutiny just so they can take the commander role. If the vote fails, they leave.
How silly.

heh what I love is when the game just starts. You've not even made it out of the spawn yet an theres already a mutiny. Usually by the guy who was commander before but wanted to rambo while being commander.
Cleansweep rocks. If only the US would QUIT FREAKIN GOING STRAIGHT FOR THAT FIRST DAMN FLAG. Hate gettin in a BH only to go straight for that flag where 99% of the enemy are also spawned. When playin mec/china(i dont remember) I'll spawn at one of the back bases an sometimes NEVER see a US guy. Do people think you gotta cap the flags in order or something?

Completely agree. I hate when someone continually attempts to vote someone off after numerous failed attempts then will try to justify to the teams why this person should be kicked. If you don't like the player change teams and kill them or just go to a different server and let the rest of us play in peace. I don't map map change requests but enough of kick requests.

Exactly, the person should realize it ain't going to happen so get over it and move on or leave. I don't need to hear your reason why just play the game.

I think you should only get one opportunity a map to make a vote against another player. If the vote fails then your vote initiating privileges for the map are restricted. I also find it amusing that Dice would make voting and then give players the ability to ignore it. I have my voting turned off and I am assuming by limited amount of time i have actually seen a vote succeed, that most other people do as well.

I like your idea of only giving someone one chance to have a kick vote. Also could be something that we could do without completely. If you don't like how others are playing the game, LEAVE!

The only time I have vote kicked is on a server that the admin didnt restrict the ping and jackasses where on there with pings over 300...Everyone is like why the lag my ping is fine blah blah...Im like duh if you would vote yes we wouldnt have it....Now im not talking ping spikes I am talking a constant over 300...
How can anyone even play with it like that.....I mean its not like there is a lack of servers and you playing on a server with your ping at 300+ is making everyone else near you have a ****ty time...it really chaps my ass

Actually a very good point that I didn't think of. I think in this case a vote makes sense because it is affecting everyone's game. Although if I get on a server and get lag I usually leave.

Yeah some ass hat tried vote kicking me once...
I was commander and he TKed me with the bomber so I punished and he was like why did you punish and I was like cuz your a moron...and he’s like it was an accident...I’m like how I’m the big star on your HUD how the hell can you miss me...so He tried organizing a vote kick… unsuccessful so I vote kicked him... unsuccessful then someone else tries vote kicking me cuz this ass hat is making a huge phuqing deal out of it....So what did I do...
That's right initiated a vote kick on everyone that did it to me...needless to say none where success and probably caused us more distraction from the game then anything but I found it kind of humorous...
Yeah so now someone can put up that aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw we really liked your story pic ;)

I agree, stop the multiple kicks/mutiny votes. If you don't like a Commander you can always leave the game.
I also find aggravating  when you are waiting for enough players to join a game, and people on the other team start hunting you. If you need to kill something while you are waiting kill your on teamates/friends.

I see your point. I hate those spammers myself.
However, I do see kick votes succeed. My own! There is some psychological secret that most people don't get who end up spamming votes: I explain why the guy deserves to be kicked in a friendly way. Tell people in a friendly way (and decent spelling) that John Doe has been tank spawn camping for the last 20 minutes and people will kick him. In other words: A good, true, convincing REASON. First time success almost guaranteed.
I wish all the suckers (sorry, had to be said) who spam-vote like mad would realize I don't care unless I know what the guy did wrong. I usually ask - "why kick the guy?" Unless I get a very convincing reason I won't vote yes. Usually I get no answer, or answers like "he n00b"- which frankly has, as an answer, the value of a cat flap in an elephant house.
When I ask "why mutiny?", the standard answer, if any, is: "I wanna be commander". Its amazing - people call for a vote not because the commander does a bad job, but because they wanna play and don't like BF2's way of high rank over low rank. Thats another reason votes don't succeed - why would anyone kick a commander who does a good job?
Other realization: No point asking for a vote yourself with reasons like "he's a spawn camper". You need both sides to vote for you for success. Spawn camping is usually not perceived as that bad by most people on the same team as the spawn camper - he won't get kicked. For people who are tank camping however - hey, even the enemy realizes that some dude takes up a slot in their team who stands arround 90% of the time doing nothing and otherwise takes away everyone's fair share of vehicle.
Furthermore, I am bitter enough by now to yell "STOP SPAMMING If you couldn't get him kicked by now you will fail all the time" at people, and "don't mutiny unless you take his post". This doesn't help, but it relieves :D

If you know it won't be a success why do it then and anoy everyone else? Frankly you appear to be more part of the problem than part of the solution with this. He shouldn't have tried to get you kicked, and vice versa. Get over it.
Plus, even if you had a big blue commander star on you, I also firmly think you shouldn't punish people for first-time TKs - especially from jets. Usually people who are not griefers have reasons to do things. E.g. there could be an enemy moving to your position he tried to bomb. Accidents happen.
Punishment ruins someone's score for the round. That should be reserved for TKs on purpose.
Just click on the "Opt out of voting"... ;)
you wont be bothered with that crap again

The first time I saw someone voted off I was playing Oman with my son (hes 20). He was commander. The guy that voted him off then took his place. So I informed him that was wrong. My son rejoined the server the next round and he was put on the other team, I joined him and we gave that kick vote jerk hell. So I really think the best thing to do is switch teams and just go after the kick vote jerk as hard as you can they will leave. Thats the best revenge I know of....Red

I agree, however, wouldnt it have been nice for EA/DICE to have actually
finished the game or fixed these broken functions so that a team could
actually get rid of problem makers ? TKers? Useless/Idle commanders?
Or little kiddies causing problems within the game?
Sure would have.
but even after several patches, and a new crap expa. pack the voting
system is still worthless.

Indeed, spam is much worse to choke down that human flesh.
BTW, given that Spam is canned ham, Spork is canned pork, and spicken is canned chicken, what would you make of a product called Spuman?

i dont opt out of voting. cause the voting systems isnt all about kickin, it can give a player a warning in the sense of, damn. id better start acting normal.worked for me many times. just give THE reason and try to kick em. and the vote system is currently being used mostly for things an admin should be doing. like fishing out those tankcampers, plane tk'ers etc etc. or keeping those bitching people of the com channel. just find a server with good and present admins, and the voting wont be so bad
