New but straight to the point ..video card help needed

Alright heres my rig and i need some help

p4 3.0ghz~ w/ht 800fsb 1mb cache ..
Intel MB .. 775 chipset..
serial-ata 10,000 rpm raptor 70GB HD
2 gigs of DDR2 @ 533mhz~
nvidia pci-e 128mb 5750 ...

problem is w/the video card obviously... what card do i need to run this game ...i have all my settings down to like medium/ low ... i cant get crap for fps ... i also play HL2 and Counter-Strike:Source so i need something that works well w/those as well... thanks

X800 XL is what I recommend... it can be found anywhere from $250-350.

It can run the game on max settings with good FPS.....in fact, check this thread, where I was asking about the card myself:

see the problem is you guys reccomned the top video cards! what if we have a problem with money. it's nice that you posted but how about aking him his price range for a new video card. look man if you only got about 60 $ then spend it on a radeon 9600 se, all low but it gets me to play the game.

For the most part, the 9600 SE is probably about equal to or worse than the FX 5750.

Why bother asking about video cards if you aren't going to be willing to pay enough to get something that isn't any better than what you've already got? That's almost like buying two copies of Battlefield 2 when it's obviously the exact same game.

Just face it: video cards aren't cheap, and unless you are willing to invest plenty of money into them, it's best to just wait and save up.
