HERES WHAT I GOT FROM PB TECH SUPPORT:

Note #2: If you are getting full lockups of the computer when entering a PB enabled Server, do the following:
- check if it happens on non-PB server
- check for latest graphics driver
- check for latest chipset driver
- if you have a SATA controller - see below

nForce4-Board:
As a nForce4 user you should make sure you have up-to-date nForce drivers installed (the original drivers for nForce4 are known to cause problems). Do not forget to first uninstall the old drivers!

http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_nf4_winxp32_amd_6.66.html

SiS 96x Chipset + SATA:
If you have this chipset, please install the following driver: http://driver3.sis.com/raid/raid303.zip

Silicon Image Sil 3x12A SATA RAID:
Installing this driver will fix the issue. Note that it is just for RAID controller.

SATA controller:
Check what SATA controller was built into your system. Check on the controller manufacturers website for updated drivers (especially WHQL drivers).
If none was found check the chipset manufacturers website for such a driver, after that check the mainboards manufacturers website.
If no success at all these places do the following:
Delete the driver in the device manager. Let windows find the driver and let it search for a capable driver at "windows update". It should find a WHQL certified driver now. That should work.

Also, close all other programs (especially debuggers both user mode and kernel), they could be interfering with PB.

If you need more help, please let me know which motherboard you have in your computer. I can point you in the right direction for the right driver update then, thanks.

How do you update these drivers ? Through My computer ? Device manager? Do you save them to Desktop? Chances of screwing something up just to play this game?
1/None -----------10/Ruin a perfectly good system

Often the problem with motherboard drivers is the fact that sometimes there are two versions, one from the manufacturer of motherboard and one from manufacturer of chipset.
Often using the latest from chipset maker and you'll have latest, rather than waiting on motherboad manufacturer customizes the chipset drivers.

the drivers for my board on the gigabyte site, just point to the nvidia nforce4 ones, altho its true some manufactures like to fiddle a bit with them ;)

I have this: Intel® Desktop Board D875PBZ
Point me in the right direction. I have already installed latest BIOS and other drivers I could find on intel's site. I have SATA on my mobo but do not use it.

My PC reboots when entering PB enabled games. I get the blue screen with this on it:
Stop 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0x8050ADF1, 0xB580F2EC, 0x00000000)

Uh? He doesn't claim anything? are you blind? His whole email says the problem is between PB and a few pieces of hardware.

I can vouche that
Silicon Image Sil 3x12A SATA RAID:

fixed my crashes a couple weeks ago. I used to get a bsod as soon as I entered a game, and they were resolved...I only wish they had said it sooner, it took me weeks to figure it out

Fixed the MB to KB my bad I knew that.

So I just click to install drivers or do I have to remove old ones first?

If you are talking about say your video card drivers then yes, you'll need to unistall them and remove any instances of them. A free program called Driver Cleaner Professional will remove all instances of your video card drivers for you. Just google for it and you'll find it.

Do not install driver 6.66, the nvidia firewall causes problems, and the IDE SW driver will quickly corrupt your install!

Just don't install the Network Management part... no need to scrub the rest of the drivers just because the nvidia firewall doesn't work.

On my system, I use 6.66 without nvidia firewall, since release of the drivers, and no problems. This doesn't mean this is the same on other systems I'm just stating how it work on my system.

You what would be better?

If PB got up off their asses and made an update to fix this instead of everyone having to DL stuff.

Issue or not with PB, ppl should have the latest drivers anyway, it shouldn't take an issue to get ppl to update them IMO. Many problems with PC stem from old drivers that newer drivers fix or make more stable, be it audio, video or system drivers or just keeping your Windows updated with latest fixes.
