i totaly just nuked my compuer!!!

I formated (nuked) my computer today. I loaded all my software and restarted my computer. When my computer went to load windows xp it crashed. After I loaded windows from the black windows load screen i get a blue screen for half a second then my computer reboots. I cant even see what the blue screen says!!! And now when im trying to call customer service im getting transfered all over their automated help service. This is absoloutly rediculous and totaly unacceptable!!! I have been offline all freakin day!!! Im so ****ed....

Unknowngutiarist did you have your computer connected to the internet when you installed windows? That might have been caused by some viruses or then your HD is broken. And remember to check your BIOS settings.

if you press F8 when the computer starts up (keep pressing it until a menu appears) you'll get an option to "disable restart on system failure" - this will allow you to SEE the bluescreen... chances are its a driver issue anyways.. try booting in into safe mode - using the same F8 menu - if windows loads into safe mode.. then its a driver conflict.

Um. Sometimes people NEED the internet to do their jobs. Not only that - if my oven broke - i'd want it fixed sooner than later. Some people just like to get things fixed.

It sounds like either 1 of two things happened: Your harddrive is damaged, or your windows install disk is. Most likely the install disk. Go into bios and see if your motherboard can find a partitioned hard drive.

And to all those against formatting, grow some balls. Im only 14 and i do it every few months. Its good for your system.
