when using the guide in the support section for hdtv's does this mean u cannot play online anymore? please i would like some answers

Nope...you should be able to play online just fine.

The EA login servers have been down tonight.

i must be doing something very wrong then. hmmmm......... i will have to play around with it abit more :(

i dont know what on earth im doing wrong. im doing everything it says on the guide and it still dumps me back to the destop, my system is a:
Abit Sckt 939 AN8 Sli
Geforce 7600 gt
2 gig ram
sata 200gb hd
27" hdtv 1360x768 please help if u can, any extra little things i can do to make it work, thanks

..but everybody has been complaining that the BF2 login servers have been down tonight.

So wait until the servers are back to normal and try again.

It is very unlikely that you are not connecting due to making changes to change your resolution to widescreen..it just doesn't make any sense.

If you are still having troubles tomorrow, then undo your changes and try logging in to make sure it works 'the old way' before trying anew.

Dude, just get a 21" monitor and a decent GFX card instead of splashing out on the latest consumer scam. I've had a monitor that could render at 2048x1536 back in 1997, and you're telling me HD is new? HD = high resolution and nothing more. And crappier resolution than any non-el_cheapo monitor can get you.
