In the trailer, that speech reads as "Today there will be minus one nation in the world, we will show them who we are, we are not scared of anyone" and the final words at the very end are "every war - is a lie"

This suggests maby there some russian rebels and stuff, also, the scenes in the middle east suggest maby the setting is in Kazahkstan or something.

Also, there is that banner all over, which suggests some geopolitical union like the MEC in BF2

Yup everyone is thinking that too. Thanks for the translation, I just saw the video again and heard the speech and wondered what it was. Im guessing were going to be playing alot of different nations at the same time because thats how it usually works in the Call of Duty games. in COD3 you get to play the U.S, French, and the British. So add another poll option to select all of the above :-P

Last time I checked Kazakhstan wasn't in the Middle East.

I voted MEC. It seems like an army, not just a band of rebels/terrorists.

And I think the Russian team is the Spetnaz, as you play as them in MP.

I voted Russian, as I think it's: U.S. vs. MEC (type thing), Spetz vs. Rebels, and SAS vs. somebody.

Just found an interview that says Zakiyev is a Russian and the main villain of the SAS and the other guy with the deagle thats shoots your face is one of his lts. (Al Asad it sounds like) and is the main villain of the Marines.

Uhhh yeah, we learned that when this thread died a little. It's Al Assad and Zakamakawhatever. The latter has a creepy voice. "They layed waste to our country, now we will lay waste to theirs."

Spetz, and the guys on the Demo are Al-zahad(sp?)'s men, The main bad Russian guy tells them to cause a fuss so that it will take the attention off him trying to get back into Russia.. meh, I read that somewhere.

The main guy is Russian, trying to make Russia Soviet again, I believe.

The other guy is Arabic and helping for whatever reason, so I believe.

yah, he's a distraction so the American's concentrate their efforts on defeating Al-zahad.
