Battlefield 2 Stats Viewer v0.85 Released

The community member phreazer behind the helpful program Battlefield 2 Stats Viewer (http://code.movedesign.de/) has released the latest version of his program, v0.85. Here's what's new:

I’m glad to announce the new version of BfSV (version 0.85).

After many weeks of coding and testing I hope that most bugs are history
and I wish you and your community a lot of fun with BfSV 0.85.

I've added a bunch of new features and made improvements of old things
like the completely renewed Personal Leaderboard. Now you can see if your buddies are playing online and if you like to, you can have a closer look at the server details or you can join the server directly. Moreover language files can be updated automatically if new language files are available or awards requirements has been changed. In addition BfSV supports "Armored Fury" and "Road to Jalalabad", too.

ok.. i think i know my problem.. my internett is on 1500 kbit/sec right now.. it downloads the sandbox movie at 5.0 kb/sec.. so i might try the stats viewer when i get my connection back..:p

nope.. my internett is back at 4000 but still no stat viewer.. hm.. its not my firewall either..

connection error..not blocked by firewall,double checked...would also like to see this working

edit..just got it working by disabling norton internet security...even thoug i allow it full access it won't work for me unless i disable Norton...weird

Same here (thanks for the advice). Gave it full permission and Norton still won't allow it. Looks great!

If you look at the site they state that Norton doesn't work with it... Not sure why, but I'll look into it and try to provide a fix :)

Can someone explain to my what I'd get out of this that I don't get out of BF2Player? I just don't see the point. Not trying to be an inflammatory, I just would like to hear some justification for what seems to be a totally redundant app.

I just downloaded it. I love it. It is so much easier comparing my stats to my sons stats. It makes it so much more easy to view stats since I don't have to log into the game.

i run this on my laptop while playing BF2 it allows me to see just how close i am to the next award or promotion

and also allows me to see which of my friends is playing

One idea for the next release

Maybe in the awards section have a count down meter like u do for score
that shows how close to a given award you are

OK, quick update... I downloaded it and now know what this app does that BF2Player doesn't do... Primarily, if you have a web site, this app can upload HTML into a directory for you (via FTP) so you can have your own static stat page.

So there you go... but it doesn't seem to do much else that can't be pulled from BF2S or BF2Player.

That being said, I can't get it to do a damn thing, as I keep getting "Error: Nickname does not exist"... for me or any of my friends... and it's not a fw issue.

It's tools like this that make BF2 even better. Having a leaderboard consisting of just friends is much better than one comprised of names of people you don't know. IMHO it's also a much slicker interface. The listing of requirements for the various badges/medals/etc is a big plus as well.
