View Full Version : COD4 In DX9 or DX10?

For Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare what would you rather see it in?

DirectX 9, DirectX 10 or both?

Most of you will say that DX10 will have better graphics and run better, but what about computer ability issues?

I say both, I don't have DX10 right now, but it would be cool if you play the game som etime, then get a dx10 card and upgrade the graphics. :)

Both, Because it would be nice for the people who have not upgraded yet, to have a chance to run it, myself I am DX10 ready, So I am ready!

I think that it should be DirectX9 and DirectX10. That way more people have an opportunity to play it no matter what kind of gfx card you have.

DirectX10 only would be horrible for me because I want to upgrade when the barcelona is out, so end this year, beginning next year.

Both.

Therefore, people with advanced cards will be able to get their money out of them, and people with the older cards will be able to play the game :D

For us people who don't have vista yet, i would recommend that you wait till the game launch or even after it to upgrade. Why? Well, seen as XP has just about got rid of most of its bugs after all this time.:p Graphics drivers are still in beta testing for Vista (correct me if im wrong) and reports say Vista isn't that gamer friendly yet. So, i would say make it for both 9 and 10.

I say both, that way more people will have a chance to play. But I am sure that everyone will be upgraded before the game release.

Not everyone has loads of cash.

I voted for DX10, because i am fully DX10.

Making it for DX9 also only makes the chance for more bugs, more development time, for things that i will not use (yes i am selfish)

Not really. My iMac has a built in card so I can't upgrade. :(
