Thanks to a member by the name of veXed, who is listed over on the Charlie Oscar Delta Forums (http://www.charlieoscardelta.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=8603&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0), we have a ton of new information about Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. He was able to attend an event over at the offices of Infinity Ward (We will be posting up our preview soon as well) and posted up his impressions of the game. Instead of making you guys go over there to read it, we've posted it on our site so you can see it. Here is a small part of what he had to say:

The single player campaign has been very cleverly designed. Instead of a linear approach, you will flashback to different squads, in different theaters all over the world. Another clever design feature is the transition from different squads on the battlefield.

For example: you may start a mission as an infantry soldier advancing through wooded areas to your destination, with helicopter squads flying overhead providing covering fire. Once you have completed the checkpoint on foot, you will be whizzed up into one of the helicopters that were just helping you, and you will then take on the role of an airship gunman, providing the covering fire for the infantry squad that you were just a part of. This unique approach provides the gamers with a constant change of pace, and force the player to adapt to their new task.

Infinity Ward have also spent a lot of time making sure that you never get bored during the SP. Almost every mission is different from the previous level, in terms of theater of operations, job description, and overall approach on how to successfully complete a mission.

Thanks again to veXed for a great preview with lots of juicy information! Stay tuned for our preview of COD4, coming soon.

16 player multiplayer - You will be able to limit room sizes in private matches though.

Erm? I know throughout the entire review he was talking about XBOX360 so a 16 player max does make sense, but what about for computer? In todays age, 16 player maxed Multiplayer games on PC go nowhere, are they increasing that number for PC?

I think if it is 16 Player MAX for PC, I may not buy it .. I would want at least a 32 man server

I was thinking the same thing about that 16 players. It's a very small number for PC. But if there are editable configs, then servers should be able to change that number to be higher.

Yes, that was a console-only interview. PC will support at least 32 players officially, but servers will be allowed to hold more than that as well.

Good good! Thank heavens, if it was 16 max.. that'd be pitiful
