The team behind the BattleGroup Frontlines (http://www.bgfmod.com/) mod is back today with update number 11. This time around they have some new player models to show. Take a look:
The German word “Landser” comes from “Landsknecht”, a mercenary soldier in the 15th and 16th century. It’s normally used to describe a common soldier. There were many different uniforms and equipments released by the Wehrmacht throughout World War Two but the general look always remained the same. The uniform colour, except for the Waffen-SS and late war Heer units, was field grey and the typical German M35 helmet was used for the whole war.
The BGF Wehrmacht soldier wears a M43 uniform model and of course the M35 helmet. As standard equipment he carries 6 ammunition pockets (each contains 5 rounds), the gas mask M30 in a round tin can, a spade, a camouflage tarpaulin (of which four were needed to build a tent), a satchel for personal goods, a bag and a water bottle.
