Well, if they are going to equaly match what their doing for the 360 guys (Myself included so I don't mind, as long as I get that beta; lol) ..then it would have to be pretty darn big, not just screenshot releases or anything like that.

You think this XBOX360 beta will be within CharlieOscarDelta's website, so only those registered? As I tried registering yesterday and it said "Overload of people we have to currently stop new registering"... Now a bit after that and still today, it says

"Sorry but your not eligable to join at this time"

If so, that sucks :( No beta for me

What makes you think they've already started dispersing them?

Chances that they'd use COD.com userbase as a way to distribute keys is really unlikely. Most of the people registered there just aren't the greatest candidates for a beta, to put it bluntly.

My guess is we'll be seeing a signup form on the site in a week or two. Fill in name, age, email, address, etc to be officially eligible for the beta. They'll then sort through that in some manner.

I also wouldn't be surprised if various gaming sites would be allotted keys to give out.

Vince Zampella said the beta was coming in August, so there's still plenty of time to sort things out.

Ah, I misunderstood what he wrote. He said that the site itself was no longer taking new registrations...I took it to mean they made an announcement in their "Public Beta" section. Sorry about that.

I didn't see the actual announcement about the Beta, but from what I heard it only directed people to CharlieOscarDelta.com, so it could very well only be from that site where candidates are picked (from the site "Remember, Charlie Oscar Delta will be your home for everything around the Beta." ). They had better sort out their new registrations problem soon. ;)

I think they've only stopped registration because the server couldn't handle the load. Their MYSQL just exploded minutes after the presentation.

You console thumb monkeys should consider yourself lucky, just to be able to run such a game that will only use DirectX 9. :yay: :D

Also I read that this beta will be one of the largest customer played beta or something like that. But there should be a lot of keys to give out.
