Oddly a guy I talked to whos a game designer got a copy of the game a few months back. Which means it is very old copy, but said he was not impressed; graphics and characters looked cartoony. He's a hardcore BF2 gamer, and hearing that but seeing all these screens and video's IW releases .. makes me believe they changed a hell of a lot graphic-wise in 2 months!!

Yeah i sure hope they have because if he thinks BF2 looks better than COD4 hes blind.

He said CoD4 graphics are astounding but theres two different ways to skin;
1 is like taking a photo and merging it onto a skin to give it a realism type

the other is to kinda paint (With Adobe) the skins. He said the graphics are top notch, but the characters, camo and guns looked "painted" and not very real.

He's the graphic designer for a future release of a game he's working on so the purpose of playing CoD4 was to check out what they did with the graphics.

i think i agree with him....COD has always been a bit more cartoony than realistic. But i always liked that. You have "softer" targets as in bf2. Your graphic designer friend will probably like ArmA better than COD, it is even more realistic as BF2
