BF2.exe Has Encountered a Problem.

I'm now sure why but recently I keep getting this problem when I try to start the game.

I get the splash screen then it disappears. After that I get the error "Bf2.exe has encountered a Problem and Needs to Close."

I've fixed it by simply doing System Restore and it works once. Then when I try again I get the problem. Can anyone think of a more permanent solution?

Reinstall and delete the BF2 profiles (save your screenshots before doing that).

Yeah I had to do a complete wipe and reinstall of BF2 to rid myself of this. I actually had to reboot my comp in order to play, everytime I quit a server.

THANK GOD I FIXED IT!

I had the game Splinter Cell Chaos Theory mounted on a virtual drive and I guess BF2.exe thought I was using some illegal version or something.

So basically I just had to unmount all of my virtual drives. YES!:D

I had that same thing happen to me because I had multiple Daemon Tools emulations going...removed it and it was fixed.
