PlanetCallofDuty's (http://www.planetcallofduty.com/) staff member, Whiskey, has published his Call of Duty 4 multiplayer console preview. This extensive five-page article covers the multiplayer event held in California a couple of weeks ago. Here's a taste:

On Aug 9, members of the press, the gaming community, and lucky contest winners from around the USA gathered at the CineSpace restaurant & entertainment hall in Hollywood, California, as part of the "First to Play" event for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, hosted by Infinity Ward (IW) and Activision. These folks were among the very first people in the world to experience the upcoming multi-player Beta for Xbox360. Matt Pruitt and I from PlanetCallofDuty.com were also fortunate enough to attend this sneak peek of what has a very good chance of becoming 2007's Game of the Year.
Although both Matt and I are primarily PC gamers, we jumped at the opportunity to get the first hands-on experience with this game, and we were not disappointed. The combination of amazing visuals and non-stop action are a lethal combination, and are sure to make COD4 a success. As a PC gamer, I was impressed at how good a FPS title could be on a Console…if this game was not also coming out on PC (which, thankfully it is), I would seriously consider getting a Console to play it.
