Hey, I'll try to make this simple as I can:

I'm an hardcore-follower of CS 1.6. I'm almost in a professional level, but with Source ****in*g this gameplay and everything and CSP being (imo) an illusion, I'm thinking of changing to a new game, something I haven't tried yet, but that i want to follow in a competitive way.

I'm really confused... will I want to buy COD4, or MOH:AB (this one i played the demo, and.. u-la-la).

I'm posting this kind of thread, both in MoH:AB and COD4 forums, and I want you to tell me some reasons so that I can buy it, and that, as I said before, I can follow in a competitive way.

Thanks in advance,

Frederico "fredeh" Almeida

PS: I'm portuguese.:salute:

I too have played the MoH:AB demo. Since you're asking from a purely competitive standpoint, IMO, CoD4 will be the better product. MoH left me feeling like a so-so console port. Granted, it was only one single player mission, but the whole "feel" for how the game played felt wrong.

From everything I've seen and read, the IW multi-player team for CoD4 have really studied everything out their, cherry picked the best elements, and polished them to a shine.

Example: It's fairly obvious that the "Search & Destroy" MP mode is based of CS. They went back and looked at what people liked and disliked about that type of game play. Things like Create-a-Class where you can pick your load out first, so you don't waste precious time doing it once the round starts.

Another way they did their homework. The "Domination" MP mode is based off the BF series with players battling over flags. They've looked at what everyone loved about the stat tracking and character persistence that BF2 introduced and refined.

With games like ET:QW and Crysis also coming to market in the same time frame, it's going to be tough, no doubt. There's going to be blood on the floor this holiday season.
