I know it seems the Xbox 360 Beta has stole all the thunder of the game, but I want you guys to know that's all just from the outside perspective due to the massive response of it. There has been no hault on the PC side of things from the inside perspective here at the studio.

We have a PC Demo that is scheduled to hit still, as well as a PC event coming up in early / mid Sept. in San Fran.

As far as the development of the PC version, it's been going full steam. Most of our attention has actually been on the PC version recently, mostly on implementation and polishing of the features added due to the feedback given on our first PC community day. You guys gave us a shopping list of features and suggestions that we really took to heart. Including that uber-config file, which has been a huge focus of our time.

I feel confident saying that the PC version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has been fully tailored by the feedback of the PC community. I think that's really going to show come November 5th and before when the demo hits. Everything from plenty of options for the player and server-side admins to turn on / off features, to the inclusion of popular suggestions like Hardcore Mode, slimming down the hud even when not in Hardcore, Half-time mode for objective gametypes, anti-cheat out of box, and even looking into ways to take control back from hackers / cheaters who get through anti-cheat.

So stay tuned folks...more info will be coming soon about PC.

Amen to that. PB is better then nothing, but it only really stops kids who download public hacks. And it's pathetically easy to get around even if you do get caught.

Update wise, glad to hear everything is going strong on the PC front. I never doubted it wasn't, but patience usually comes with age. CoD4 is looking to be something of a sleeper title for the PC. All the publicity is around the Xbox version and PC people are more focused on ET:QW and Crysis right now it seems. I never played CoD2, but I know the following it has. If IW can do for the modern era, what they did for WWII, then it's all good. We're in good hands.

What a load of tosh from fourzerotwo, why can't game publishers & developers dish out equal amounts of information for all gaming platforms with regards to "call of duty four"?. Why all this exclusive bs for one platform?

As long as PC and consoles stay as far away from each other as possible, I will be happy :).

Because it's not possible to make a beta for every platform. The reason they chose XBOX360 was so they could test the servers capability running the game with full servers and how well the servers do support such players.

A PC Beta really should have been released, almost always is for almost every PC game to allow mass people to find bugs and help try perfecting the game before release, guess IW just felt it was more necessary to test the XBOX360 Server Capability.

the demo will be out. Sounds like they are adding a lot of cool things for us PC gamers. And that statement about taking back control from hackers even if they are able tro hack the game. First person demo's maybe? Who knows. All I know is I like the stand they are taking. And no it will not be punkbuster. That is what I read somewhere a few weeks ago anyway.
