Do I understand............there are NO vehicles in COD4?
Its just "infantry........boots-on-the-ground"?
NO .........jets, no planes, no trucks that go.....?
I have viewed several vids, and have not seen any driveable vehicles......!
OMG.....................what have they done...............

They didn't do anything wrong. Call of Duty is an infantry based game. Gray Matter was the team that made Call of Duty: United Offensive. If you want vehicles so badly, go play the Battlefield series. Stop your whining.
If you ask me, Gray Matter should not have put vehicles in UO.
You might want to do a background check on a game before you whine. What you said is pretty much like saying, "Why doesn't CS have drivable vehicles?"
COD has always been like this, it's what makes it better IMO.

KingKat's either been living under a rock for the last several months...or that post is a brilliantly sarcastic anti-vehicle comment. ;)
I personally am totally in-favour of no vehicles.

I've always loved COD series because of the exelent infantry gameplay. So I don't want vehicles, that's why I have Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142.
Also, if you do want vehicles, check out the single player of COD4, then you get vehicles. Well, you can use them, but can't drive them.
I miss COD2, I don't knwo why I can't install it, exept for an error message which appers...
Anyway, I'm mostly gona get COD4 because COD series are the best FPS games on earth IMO, and of course it has M16A4...:D:D:D

Though I can't exactly confirm the intelligence of all 360 players... :shakehead
they say it decreases the accuracy, which I agree is stupid for a scope upgrade.

EDIT: Decrease in accuracy likely means they just bumped up the bullet spread. You more then compensate for this if you can put the X-hair on the target since it gives you much better view of the target then your default iron sights. $.02
The only things you can really compare across platforms is overall game play and to some extent performance/graphics. Control scheme's, weapon stats, even perks are going to feel different on each platform.
Some nice examples:
Play Halo 2 on Xbox and then go play the PC version. The game play is very sluggish, compared to a PC based FPS. The reason? You can't move your view around as quickly with an analog stick as you can with a mouse.
Play GTA:SA on the PS2 and then the PC version. Playing the PC version with a mouse/keyboard feels like cheating, it's so easy to shoot the gas tank on a moving car, something that took real skill on the PS2.

Well, I don't think COD4 would have no BS, because COD series have never had any crap that I know of.

One of the key things I like about having vehicles is the fact that the maps tend to be a bit bigger to compensate for their movements, which in turn gives the infantry men more breathing room. It (to me) can increase the anticipation of not knowing exactly where the Op-For is at.

The maps in the Beta weren't totally huge...and I doubt they will be in the full version...so there's no need to add vehicles...

Ok not always Karkand, but even that on a 64 player map w/ 32 players gave you a little elbow room. But yeah, you're right.

Well don't worry about big maps.. the maps on the 360 were small enough where 12 people got a LOT of action, and I bet the PC version will be the same way. In fact, if they dont have bigger versions for 32 men, it will be rediculous to the point of not being fun.
