Started having a go at modding my own weapons for games this morning with 3D Studio max. I decided to start on something easyish like a knife but realised even that was to hard atm. so i have made a mag from an M4 rifle. I havent added many colours or relaism to it yet, but hopefully as i get better i can add to it and go on to harder things...

very nice. I'm also a newb at moddling, but for me, the first thing that i've created was a knife. The easiest way I created a knife was by using planes to model. Here's a rendered pic of that knife http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j230/Kawasaki12/taticalkniferendered.jpg.

There is also a tutorial that explains how to model by using planes, here's the link http://tutorials.moddb.com/16/beretta-9000-video-tutorial/

Glock 17's/18's and 40's etc are so nice. I love how they look so unique compared to other pistols

I would like to see them model the Glock 19, since I have the airsoft version of it.
