Hey I was just wondering why everyone is so all about the POE2. No disrespect to the DEVs but what's the difference between point of existance and all the other high-quality modern combat mods. Sorry don't flame me i'm just trying to understand.

POE2 is a mod thats been around before and has a good rep, the modders seem to really think about what they can do to make the game as bad as* as possible while keeping it stable. Why dont you jump off the ranked servers and give it a shot? Dont like it, well thats what you have a delete for.;)

Simply put those of us that enjoyed the POE mod for BF1942 ar anticipating good things and fun times with POE2 fro BF2. Faster gameplay, new weapons, new gameplay mods, cool german accents, better sound, and generally a better balanced game with weapons that you will actually be able to kill someone with fairly quickly.

Operation Peace Keeper is excellent, I like its potential as another type of BF 2 mod option, but I think POE will offer larger scale battles and be a bit more vehicle based than Peace Keeper. I do think Peace keeper rocks though...

Well by looking trailers and teasers, it seems my time among BF2 is faiding. I just hope weapons are better than current BF2 lotto guns. Nothing else makes me so angry than those situations where I'm shooting some static fellow with perfect aim and nothing happens. Most I hate L85A1 which I would like to like most.

As for this release..I think the maps will be great...I am looking forward to the sound effects. I am just dissappointed with the vehicle selections..

its a total conversion meaning most of the vehicles,armys,weapons,etc are new along with added gameplay options and i think 14 new maps. plus more content will come soon.

i expect that by sunday morning most people will be able to play.

I really like the Artillery system in POE2. This MOD will be awesome, I can feel it.

I'm not going to try and educate you that most of the US hardware in use in these games (no, on the drawingboard does not count) is not all that or at all superior to Germany'shardware.. But i have to point out that it does not matter, its a point and click game, even if US tanks had a zillion more capabilities in real life.. you cant use them ingame.

Last I heard, there are like over 100 servers. 170 something. Almost 200. Maybe even more than that. I looked at all the flags that tell you the country they are in, and they are ALL over the place. From US to Australia. Its there.

If you didnt play the first one you missed out. The dev's have gone out of their way on this one so far. BF2 killed POE, lets hope its the other way around this time. Oh and unfortunately/ fortunately (stat padders) there will be a stat system in place eventually.

I'll tell you exactly why, all the other mods are yet to prove themself, PoE have already made a release in BFV which has proven themselves to be more than incredible. They can put things ingame DICE can't figure out, and thats right they TEST it, so when you get it, SHABOOM! NO bugs WHATSO EVER, the only patches that are ever needed are to stop the odd total tard from exploiting somthing the devs trust us not to.

The reason it is so popular is because POE also appeals directly to the competition community. The maps were made with 8v8 and 12v12 competition in mind. The weapons are accurate and reward skilled players. The gameplay appears to balanced, so no longer will matches be determined simply by who wins the chopper battle.

Earlier this week the POE mod team allowed some of the competition clans to play the mod. Many that have played the mod say they don't even want to play vanilla BF2 again. There is also a big push to have a POE2 division started in CAL asap.
When some of BF2s harshest and most hardcore players accept a mod/game this overwhelmingly it says alot about POE2.

Tonight at 9:30pm est, FragTV will be video broadcasting live, a POE2 scrim between Dynamic and Fadeight. Shoud be a blast to watch.

I never played PoE for BF:V since most of my buddies still played vanilla BF:V, but it looks like a fair lot of them will be giving PoE2 a go so I probably will as well. If it's as good as everyone says it is/is going to be then I'm sure I'll have a blast.

The guns are hyper accurate compared to vanilla BF2. Range and skill will be the determining factors now, not "cone of fire."

No one has frag grenades? Alot of people have smoke, which is good IMO, but there should be SOME frag grenades out there.

I've had the chance to play PoE2 since last night because of this match up and frankly, I will never touch vanilla BF2 again except for competition in CAL-M for season 4. PoE is what BF2 should have been from the begining.

There is no Desert Combat mod. The Desert Combat team was invovled in making BF2. Your thinking about Desert Conflict.

Well I just got done playing a couple rounds in the frag tv server, and overall im quite impressed with the game. The guns sound amazing! Shooting the guns feels great to, everything feels accurate. The only thing I can complain about is the amount of prone jumping med spammers are in the game. It mighta been cus alot of these guys are clan dudes, but **** is whack when ur prone single shotting a guy and hes just bunny hoppin tossin med packs in front of him till he gets to cover, then does prone jump **** till ur dead. Pretty much mainly played infantry maps, so I dont have to much impressions of the vehicles, id really like to have more impressions playing with normal average to above average bf2 people instead of the elite clan guys.

OPK is a kick *** mod, and I like it more than POE2 so far. There are several Modern Combat MODs comming, ace101 is part of the staff here, and therefore on POEs side of every arguement, lol.

DCON, Rising Conflicts, hope they change the gameplay, cause POE2 seems like vanilla on speed to me, its already uninstalled on my system.
