One click from pilot to TV missle.

I just found this out last night soloing in SP.
With these controls, I right click once, left click once, and the TV fires. If you're using default controls, try this out.

if im not mistaken, u added ur left mousebutton to the switch seat option. and tahts all u did right?

I took away alt fire (none on the chopper) and made right msb the seat switch. It switches seat, and automatically goes to TV because you right clicked. :)

nice! what about if u want to play with a teammate in the chopper? do u have to change all back?

No, it won't do anything except show a list of who is in the chopper with you. There is no alt fire for the chopper, so if there is a gunner it doesn't do anything.

i tried it and it worked great. although when i reloaded bf2 and checked to make sure the settings were the same, they were however when i tried it it went to the gun seat before tv : /

That's happened to me a couple of times, too. I think it has to do with lag or the bug where you can't click right msb until you click l msb... TV is full of bugs.

Just because they post here doesn't mean they only solo. Personally I never solo in a game unless there is absolutely nobody around. Most of the time I go pick up a gunner somewhere else on the map. Infantry kills are where the points are at, not one chopper/tank/APC every once-in-a-while.

works fine, but as soon as i did the same for land vehicles e.g. i no longer have access to the tv-rocket. i really would appreciate that if someone got a solution so i can also use the right mouse to switch from humvee or tank cockpit to the gunner position.

Well, I think you might just have to change it back. The controls in general are messed up sometimes.

did that already, result is i can switch with right mouse click in choppers but how about getting it worked for all vehicles?

I prefer to click F2 and right click because i'm not used to right click to do this kind of stuff .. it's an habit but after you've shot your tv missle you have to press f1 anyway, don't you?

I changed it to the right-click and it works great. I was in Kubra Dam taking out other choppers as if I was actually good at flying. Which btw I stuck at. I still dont have my Helicopter service ribbon.:cry:

All people aren't solo pilotes by choice, though I must admit many are.
I'm just getting a hang of chopper flying and on a couple of occasions there has been no one to do the gunning. (maybe it was my S****Y flying, dunno :cool: )

This tip comes in handy since I never managed to turn the chopper left enough to comfortably aim at the target, I already tried it and it works a lot faster than before. Thanx for the tip!

Ok, so I changed my keys like the OP says, but it only works some of the time. I'd say, 1 in 4 tries, it actually goes to TV. It switches seats, but only goes to TV view 1 out of 4 times.

So, I am gunning today for a pilot on Oman as MEC. We are hovering, hovering, hovering over the first base on the left coming from the Essex (we own it). I am aiming left, calling out the enemy chopper over, and over, and over again. The enemy helo has enough time to fly up to us, open us his canopy, toss a few C4's onto us, then fly back to the Essex, land, hop out and detonate the C4. Of course he sat there for a few seconds, and then....BLAMMO! TV right in my face. My "pilot" types, "what hit us?"

Same map, picked up a "gunner". I spot a tank, call it out over, and over and over again. Waiting for the TV missile to kill it. I wait more. Then some more. I had enough time to type to him, "are you going to TV him?" He begins shooting the tank with the gun.

I don't tk just to fly alone. The reasons above happened in 5 minutes in 1 round. Those are not rare events. They happen many, many times a day. That's why I prefer to fly alone.

People! please practice on single player! Load up a 16 player Dragon Valley, and go co-op with your buddy, and practice, practice, practice!

I did this little trick and ya know what -- its not working for me...I loaded up a local server and it worked fine..but when i got into an actual multiplayer game, it didnt work at all..wtf

Well it doesnt go all the way. It will switch seats though. So all you have to do is click it twice really fast.

I don't know why it works sometimes, and sometimes it doesn't. I have got it to work on mutiplayer servers though. It might be lag or something...

I made the changes to my control settings and tried it on a local server and it worked awesome. I was htting everything I shot at. So, I joined a ranked server and now when I right click, I move to the second seat, but I'm using the gun instead of the TV missile. Nothing I try seems to make it behave as it did on the local server. I have to right click twice to get the TV missile screen. Anyone else experiencing this?

The only reason I feel the need to shoot a TV off in solo mode is because, believe it or not, people don't like to gun anymore. You're more than welcome to check out my Helo stats on this, however most of those stats are from being a pilot and setting up for the kill, not killing myself. That being said, it's strange when I fly around the map screaming "GET IN" to every lone INF. member I can find. I guess they just don't want those easy gunner kills imma let them have. so YES in fact there is a place for solo Tv'ing.

Anyone else feel my pain?
