please tell me this isn't true..why can't this file be a regular download file not everyone has bittorrent

As far as I can tell it's true. I don't know what would make them think releasing it over such a slow network was a good idea. I've been downloading for about an hour and have yet to see any speed higher than 27kB/s down. There must be some secret to torrents that I don't know b/c I never ever get a decent speed on them.

It took me over 11 hrs to dl it at around 15-40 kb/s.Hope its worth the time.

I hope your seeding. the problem is theres most likely a few thousand leachers and only a few hundred seeders, if I had my way I would make it law to hang anyone who doesn't seed until they have at least a 1:1 ratio.

As of right now the torrent is 924 seeds and 1784 peers. I'm giving up on PoE for today...I should have planned ahead and downloaded it last night. I'll download it overnight tonight and then play tomorrow.

With that in mind, we want to remind everyone that we are having our release party still at 11am PST and are releasing our full unpassworded zip file of the mod to our host Hypernia at 12noon PST.

In 30 minutes, this file will be released, you won't need a password nor will you need a Torrent software.

anybody know of any regular dl sites??? ive never used a torrent and from what im reading i dont want this to be my first. any help is much appreciated and as soon as i find one ill post here.

I downloaded it from AUS gamers and it stoped half way through!

so i ended up dl form game arena, but im not sure that you have to have a account to dl it from there, but it worked :D

The torrent file was the Pre-release passworded version. Similar to what Dice/EA did with SF.

You could pre-load it onto your computer and simply get the password when it was released (although the PoE2 password was leaked I believe). Good for clients and servers. We can play as soon as the time came and servers weren't being quite as much overloaded.
