PoE 2 is already Ranked .. Look in the media subforum .. there's a my video in POE2 .. I've played in an Italian Ranked server..

Exactly, PoE is going to have their own ranking system soon. It wasn't quite ready for the launch but it will be coming out. Note that this will not impact your stats that you would view in BFHQ or BF2S or bf2player.

Wow, I have to say thats pretty lame, but honest. Ramking is pointless, and often ruins a good game of skill with point whoring. The old school FPS players here will know what im talking about.

I am not going to sign it, beacuse I think it would ruin the MOD in some ways. The Maps already lead to massive base camping, ranking would seal the deal.

Dotn kill this MOD with that nonsense, its one of the worst parts of BF2, which I believe is otherwise a great game.

sad, you are missing out. No one cares about your rank but they would care if you helped a squad in POE2. PLay frontlines and you will see some action rather than numbers going up.

The way POE rounds and maps are structured are very different from vanilla. For this reason alone it should not be included in BF2s ranking system.

I'm against the rank idea in the first place. I have no problem with stat tracking, but having ranks and awards ruins the intentions of a lot of players.

I myself wont be signing the petition as i belive that there are enough problems with point whores* in bf2 who would happily run over there grand mothers in a jeep just to get that extra point by capping a flag.

* when i say point whores i dont mean stat padders although there bad enough i mean more the sort of person who just *HAS TO HAVE* that extra point at the cost of all else. . ... i just dont understand why Rank is so important to some people?

Otherwise, play PoE:2 for the fun of it.

Let's not encourage the same kind of inferior gameplay, excessive TKing for vehicles and selfish stat-addicted behavior that is so rampant in BF2.

There are already signs that overall battlefield behavior and gameplay isn't so burdened down with idiots here in POE. Let's keep it that way.

IMO the gameplay in POE2 will be much better if there's no global ranking and stats system. Play to have fun (and to win the round), not to increase your K/D ratio and farm points.

I would hope you guys would just have a server side otpion for stats and such, but leave the ranking alone. It serves no purpose but to bring in a very immature crowd.

Firestorm has been one of our major internal testers for the last 3 months, he plays poe every single day.

regarding ranking, we are only doing a stats site setup like bf2s where you can go to see things like kdr and whatever, there will be a global ranking system too but it will only be website based, there wont be anything ingame.

However what differs from our system to that of EA's is the global ranking will go by a weighter score of how the players perform across tha board, not just by how many points you get ina round.

This means that 2 guys that knife/revive all day will get almost nothing added to their poe stats score, where as someone who plays properly by killing/capping/teamwork/repairs/heals/resupplies will have a much higher poe stats score, even if they have a reasonably low spm.

We have talen the vulnerabilities of the EA ranking and virtually eliminated them, work on this is coming along quickly and we hope to get this system out to the public as soon as feasable.

That answers the ranks question. If you want to sign the petition, then sign it, but keep the above statements in mind.
