POE next to sliced bread just dont rank it

Ive just played a little but never had so much fun and huge gun battles:D without bf2 arty ruining it and silly uav,so i could not be happier with POE they have done a awesome job!.

The graphic and sounds are excellent and mine ran heaps smooth with no connection issues so sack dice and employ POE EA:p

Seriously i dont want this game ranked so im guna start a poll for not ranking it.
sorry i know there polls going on about this but um huge anti-ranked,maybe stats are ok but no ranks please

most of the reason why gameplay is inferior in vanilla BF2 is because of the stat-junkies, feverishly and selfishly going for only one thing - their own personal "eGlory"..TK'ing for powerful vehicles, not caring about team-objectives, sitting for hours uslessly in an AA gun for a badge etc. etc.

POE 2 has the potential to offer much better gameplay and it would be a shame to see that mod ruined by the same half-witted players who ruined BF2.

I dont really care if they rank it or not if you dont want stat padders or anything then go to unranked servers. I dont really care for stats but i do think even if you dont care for them they sub consicously keep you playing.

Well, I dont kno ranks would be cool. Awards seem to be the problem. I think it would be cool to have German or Ukraine military ranking systems. Just to mix things up and keep things authentic.

Call of duty is still unranked, and that game is still popular. Its great fun, cant wait until CoD3.

There is absolutely no need for PoE:2 to be ranked, will only make bad things happen.

Example, I SAW THIS GUY STAT-PADDING ON THIS POE SERVER!

Will only make job of the BFROE team 100x more difficult, oh and EA/DICE would never support this to begin with. Oh and lets now forget, last but not least, server admins would have to pay more because UNRANKED servers are cheaper!!!

The German and Ukraine forces are very well done.

Rank it and bring in more players. Who cares about the Tk'er and padders we already have that problem fighting for some helis on the POE already. You cannot change the basic DNA of idiots who wish to cause trouble and ruin gameplay for others.

I say leave it unranked. I dont get ****ed off on accidental TKs and there is much less TK for vehicle, bitching etc. I like it better this way. I dont want POE to get ruined by statwhore smacktards :evil:

There is much more TK for vehicles in POE public servers. For the simple reason that lone infantry sucks. If you don't have a vehicle, you got a problem, walking for 10 minutes to find a tank to kill you isn't great. On other maps like Wake and Sharqi, the vehicles are attractive, but you can go without them. In POE you simply need a vehicle or a full squad of infantry (go find that on a pubbie). So much more TK-ing on purpose for vehicles I noticed. Also because there are no stats involved perhaps, but even more just because walking as infantry alone, sucks.

And ranks will make it even WORSE.

P.S: Infantry rwns your home in PoE2, you can actually achieve something as inf.

There are some good points to a ranking/points system as well - ie, to control certain aspects of player behaviour and encourage teamwork. An example of this is artillery. If you spot for artillery, you get an assist point for every person that arty then goes on to kill whilst using your spot. With a ranking system in place, this would encourage people to spot for artillery (Arty spotting ribbon). As it stands, no-one spots because points mean nothing to them.

Overall however, I would like so see stats kept out of PoE. No stats = no stats padding. That's just got rid of about 5000 smacktards already.

its not about stat padders bf was more popular unranked as many newbies never seen that>ranks bring selfishness,hogs and who need unlocks when there already on the map for all to get!.Sure if your the cheater thats at the top of ranks then maybe its cool:rolleyes:

I thought exactly that statement when reading several posts regarding polls to prevent the mod from being "ranked". Personally, I enjoy seeing my stats, I don't care much for the ranking itself, but the stats are great.

I don't think POE2 or any mod should become ranked, but I definitely think all mods should offer a sort of statistics system where you can view how well you've done. It gives me an incentive when playing.

Another thing I thought of, considering how much I hate this game at times, I can't hate it too much..having played over 600hrs!!! lol

just to be clear, we have no intention of ranking poe in any way.

we are going to introduce a 'statistics' package, but it will function like all older systems of statistics tracking that games have used in the past.
