Effective October 19th 2007 the Chicago Knight Warriors aka [CKW] Clan has moved to our new home at http://www.ckwgamers.com
As you many may or not be aware CKW is in the process of undergoing a massive overhaul that is designed to transformed us from a clan that catered specifically to Battlefield 2 players to a true multi- gaming community that caters to a much wide variety gamers.
While the overhaul is designed to help us with the transformation to becoming a true multi- gaming community, it is a major undertaking and will not be completed until later this month so please bear with us and be patient.
The reason for this is because it is a 2- step process, the first step involves setting up our new website and forums which is taking place right now. The 2nd step involves moving all of our game server from our current dual core dedicated box to our new dual quad core dedicated box at the end of this month.
As it stands right now we are asking that everyone update their current bookmark for CKW clan to http://www.ckwgamers.com as this is the new URL for our home page and forums. While we will be redirecting all of the domain names that we own to our new one later this week at http://www.ckwgamers.com currently if you try to access the site or forum using any of the other domains you will not be directed to the correct site so please make sure to update your bookmark to ckwgamers.com
While this will not affect players that were not registered on our old forums, we are in the process of trying to convert and move the databases that contain all of the registered users account information and credentials from our old forum to the new ones but we will not know if that will be successful until about 12AM EST tonight.
If we can successfully convert and move the database that contains the player accounts that were previously registered on our old forums, you be able to access the new ones using the same account information so if you’re already registered on our old forums you may want to wait until after midnight tonight eastern time to register on the new site or you may end up with 2- accounts.
When we closed our old forums after being operational for a little over a year we ended with a total of 25,187 posts, 2,630 topics with 570 registered members and I hope we will be just as popular with our members & players at our new home.
Our current game servers will stay up and running until the end of this month and I will have the new information posted on the new forums as soon as it becomes available so please check back often for more news and updates.
