The controls are lame and for the most part nades and noobtubes will be none useful in MP. But it was intense.

Yea, the controls felt very portish. I kept accidentally hitting 4 and blinding myself when I'm trying to use the grenade launcher. The melee is V, which I just think is a weird key.
The good thing is that you can change your controls
Nah, doesn't feel like a port to me. Feels great on the PC. You'll all get used to the controls in no time or just change the layout if you want.

I disagree TC, like the poster above me, I agree that the controls are actually good once you get used to them. I only flashbanged myself twice. :)

Feels like a PC game to me. And the controls are mapped pretty well for the most part...and for those people don't like, they can re-map them however they want - that's one of the strengths of PC, and I can never understand people complaining about that.
The only real console-ish thing I think are the crosshairs turning red when over an enemy. But, the game allows you to turn them off. Some people complain about grenade indicators, but honestly, without them you'd be in serious trouble. It was different back in the days when everything happened right in front of your face and you could see it, but now with things often happening 270-360 degrees around you, it's very useful.
Two thumbs up from me. I only wish it was a bigger overall mission. :)

Well I finally got to play the demo, and I really wish I could use ALT as sprint, while having SHIFT as melee/hold breath. Atm they just have an option for sprint/hold breath. Is there any way to override this?

You can't combine melee with another function at the moment, but you can separate sprint/hold breath though. You can have all 3 as separate actions if you like.

Darn. Whatever happened to CoD2 controls :(.
btw, I tried the cfg file and that didn't work. Is there a way to bind it though?
Edit: Ok you're right. It doesn't recognize whether or not you're scoped.

Something wrong with your system?
My controls were spot on!

I don't have the demo, but just re-map the keys if you don't like what they are right?

Yes, you can for the most part.

i found that once i played through the demo a couple of times and rebound my keys that i actually prefer the control layout more. lots of options in there, you can toggle crouch or prone to stay crouched or prone or go right back up, a feature someone should of thought of by now.
i agree with part of the consensus , i think there should be a option to scroll through weapons, not just instantly use them when you switch to them. it will just take some time for everyone to get accustom to new controls but i love the toss back grenade feature, no more nade whores.......

I wish they didnt have this insta nade thing, though. Cooking nades is a valuable skill :(

You can cook nades, just hold down G or MMB and your crosshairs will "tick."

Nice. It would still have been good to just switch to them, and have one waiting like in your hand.

No...........not a port. The availability of screen resolutions; the numbers of keys and their functions; the amount of choices for audio...etc. show that this is for a PC.
Wanna see a port? Look at RS:Vegas on the PC. THAT'S a port!

it's not that hard to re-config the controls to your liking. I actually enjoyed the controls, the only thing that was abit frustrated was the instant grenade throw.

Yeah I agree, but other than that and the flash bangs (lol) I was fine with the controls.

It feels like a port because it is a port. Unlike CoD and CoD2 this game was infact made for the console and then brought up to the PC. There are many underlying features within the controls and game styling that prove this is infact a console game. (etc; stancing was changed) Many people will disagree of course until they find out for themselves. I believe the best games in the CoD series have probably gone from CoD > CoD2 > CoD3 > CoD4. The last three iterations were a lot more realistic than this one sadly  and there is no recoil in this one at all. The first CoD had amazing recoil and it was fun and took skill to shoot... what the heck happened :(

I like the controls, sprint for shift works for me, insta-nade is something I was waiting for in PC games, and I like how crouch doesn't have to be a toggle.
My only complaint is, say, when your prone, I have a habit of press crouch to rise to a standing position (like in battlefield), however, tapping crouch and releasing puts you back into prone! Died a couple time from that.
Anyhow, it took me a while to figure out what to bind melee to (I usually use E, but since there's leaning in this game.....), I eventually used middle mouse, with mouse 4 and 5 being nade and flash.

I like the controls, especially the insta-nade.
The only thing I don't like is how the crouch and sprint features are very console-ish. I want to hold ctrl, not press once then spacebar to stand. Same with sprint and Shift..
Oh well, I can live with it.

I agree, I like being able to let off the sprint key to stop sprinting. The toggle stuff they have now is awkward.

The only thing I would like changed or added is double tapping W for sprint just like in BF2.
