Screenshots don't save

I'm hitting F12 (which, according to my controls screen, should take a screenshot), but nothing happens. No screenshots are saved anywhere on my PC. What is the default folder location? Or do the screenshots go to the clipboard or something? I'm running Vista Home Basic 32.

Default path on XP = C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare Demo\main\screenshots

Hmmm ... there is no "\screenshots" sub-folder in my "\main" folder. If I create it manually, it remains empty.

Assigning an other key than F12 to screenshot doesn't help either.

Do you get any in-game confirmation (like "screenshot saved", or something) when you take a screenshot? My game pauses for a second when I hit F12, but nothing else happens.

P.S.: I should have mentioned that I'm running the German version of Vista. Maybe the path is wrong? (The name of the program files folder changes with Windows localization.) Does anybody know which file this path is saved in, and how I can check/edit it?
