Since I'm bored off all you rich kids bragging about your 8800GTX and how the sexiness of the game turns you on (not saying that's a bad thing!), lets talk about perks 'n stuff :D
Epic defense combo:
RPD + Foregrip + Double Tap + Sleight of Hand + Juggernaut/C4 = win. A lot of bullets down range and not too inaccurate thanks to the foregrip.
Lol haxed in the face:
Shotty + Double Tap + Extreme Conditioning + Last Stand = Rushed, pump actions turns semi-auto, "haha I'm still not dead, noob".
...Roflmao:
A sniper with an RPG. "hmm... so stealthy.. no one sees the uber sniper! Fire Ze missiles!" *large smoke trails blows cover* "Sh!t"
Not saying they sound overpowered, just effective. (except the second one =D)

LOl good combos, haha, I saw a sniper in a video just earlier, he had an RPG, LOL he shot at some guy, the guy turns around, "Oh look a defenseless sniper" *BOOM*.
I donno what I'll be taking, but M16A4 and a ACOG sounds nice, or G3 and an acotech

Epic Defense no worky.
Foregrip on the LMG takes up your first perk slot, so no C4.
Double Tap, Sleight of Hand, and Juggernaut are all level 2 perks.
You really don't need the grip though, the RPD is accurate enough. Take claymores or C4 in it's place.
Sleight of Hand is a must with that awful reload time.
Take Deep Penetration for that third slot so you can get those pesky attackers who try to take cover.

I do hope that IW learned more then a few things from the MP beta. Stopping Power and Deep Impact were far and away the most popular perk combo, and for good reason. A LMG gunner kitted as suck on Vacant (or any tight urban map) could get kill after kill just by spamming the wall when you knew an enemy was on the other side. Combined with the 3 kill streak needed for UAV being pretty easy to get, meant you always had a good idea where targets were without exposing yourself to return fire.

OMG thanks that's a great idea wmuahahahahahaha!!!!!
LOL that's smart.
But ima stick to M16ing, although that M14 is VERY tempting...
I also can't wait to see the Melee thing for myself. Looks sweet, but I doubt a real soldier could grab his knife that fast...!

Level 2...?
So each perk has a level then, and you can't have ones of the same level?

Yes. The grenade launcher (and maybe grip, too) takes up the "level 1" perk.
The level 1 perks atm are:
Bomb Squad
C4
RPG
Claymores
Special Grenades
Level 2:
Juggernaut
Sleight of Hand
Sonic Boom
Stopping Power
UAV Jammer
Level 3:
Extreme Conditioning
Deep Impact
Last Stand
Martyrdom
Steady Aim

Just from other posts and my own assumptions from playing the demo/seeing videos, heres what i'll probably use:
Assault:
-M4 with Red Dot
-USP
-claymore
-juggernaught
-deep impact
Sniper (depending on map/weapons balance):
-m40 or m21
-usp with silencer
-claymores
-sleight of hand (for m40 so i can take quick shots on multiple enemies)
-steady aim (so when enemies come up on me i can make more accurate pistol shots without using my ironsights)
just a start :)

I am definately going for Stopping Power and Deep Impact.
I am always a very aggressive player and am just the guy for the big guns, big killing.
My enemies will feel like being hit by artillery fire when i use my perks with a powerfull assault rifle!

I'd use juggernaut, just so I could say this the entire round and whenever I killed somebody.

One perk is called "Eavesdrop" and it lets you hear enemy chat, has to be microphone I guess. Too bad it will be useless for PC since most PC gamers don't play with microphones, unless with clans or friends.

Ahhh well that changes everything!
So I'd take
M16A4 with ACOG/Reflex
M1911 (it hits harder then USP)
RPG to shoot at people below me on a street, and/or behind a car or in a building.
stopping power
And this is hard, I can't pick between last stand and deep impact.

Last Stand is cool but useless, you only have a couple of seconds, and i think Deep Impact overall helps ur game.
Picture urself facing the other team hidding in houses, if u then get shot on street Last Stand is already useless, while with Deep Impact they have nowhere to hide :D

Lol have you seen the videos of last stand? in a head on-confrontation when one gets shot down, it takes about 2 shots from your pistol if you have already shot them with your primary gun.
What would you rather; die, or die and kill him too?

In addition, you have a moment of immunity when you go down to last stand (when you're "transferred" to laying on the ground). You also get double points for a kill if you get it while last standed.

Hmmm gee that's hard, i might get killed because somebody else has deep impact, but then I get him while "dying".
Or I could have got him in the first place, but also both situations could turn around.
Like I might have deep impact, miss, and get killed, the guy runs out and doesn't get my pistol up his a$$, gee... (sorry language...)
Well I go for last stand as assault/spec ops and deep impact as support/sniper

Spec-Ops + MP5 + Special Grenades + UAV Jammer + Steady Aim
Sniper + M40A3 or AW50 + 2 Claymores + UAV Jammer + Deep Impact

Unless they changed it since the MP beta, last stand was pretty useless after the first couple days. You train yourself to keep shooting until you see the little XP pop-up. Many people suggested awarding the normal XP for putting someone in last stand. You're more likely to move your attention then and give the last stander the chance they need to "put a cap in yo @$$!"
And "Eavesdrop" will easily win the "least picked perk" award. On Xbox it makes a lot of sense. There is only one choice for voice chat and it's integrated into the platform. On the PC, you can have built in VoIP functionality, but 90% of the players that would utilize it are already using TS or Vent, so they won't touch it. Clearly an example of a design change that should have been made between versions of the game.

Some good ideas there Cantina_fly, maybe you should email IW or something about it.
