Can't get Battlefield to load game

I just downloaded the demo for BF2. I wanna try the game out but when I attempt to join a game, it loads about 25% of the way into the game on the loading screen, then the game shuts off completely back to desktop. I dunno whats wrong but it won't let me join anyones game.

Can anyone help?

Im surprised you can still find servers running the demo only still. What are your specs?
