1.4 Patch Help?

Ok, I am going to downoad and install the 1.4 Patch.

1) How do I install the patch? Do I just install it?
I was reading some posts and people are talking about reinstalling BF2 and all this mess whats up with that?

2) After installing 1.4 patch will I still be able to join servers that still run 1.3?

1) install it like a normal thing just run the execute program, 2) no you wont be able to go onto 1.3 servers

no u wont be able to play 1.3 servers. but within a week (at most) all servers shud be running 1.4 so its all gd
