The Point of Existence (http://www.pointofexistence.com/) mod team has released a server fix today for the newly released Battlefield 2 v1.4 patch. Here's what they had to say:

With the release of the 1.4 patch for Battlefield 2 we have discovered a compability issue with the current PoE2 version. Anyone trying to join a server running 1.4 will get a modified content error and get kicked. However, we have already fixed this and a download link for servers running PoE2 is listed below. Please unpack the files to your mods/poe2 folder on your server to apply fix.

DOWNLOAD WINDOWS AND LINUX SERVER FIX FOR BF2 1.4 HERE (http://poe1.pointofexistence.com/POE/poe2_server_fix_for_1.4_patch.zip)

We have tested the mod with these files on a dedicated server running PoE2 1.0 and BF2 1.4. We would like to point out that mixed game modes are now working with PoE2 aswell as BF2.

In order to help you get your server setup and running multiple game modes in the same rotation, Mach10 has constructed this guide:

So for all Point of Existence 2 (http://www.pointofexistence.com/) servers out there, be sure to grab this file and get your version up to date.

Nothing but quality from these guys . All over the patch in less than 6 hours .

Nice one guys. Lets breath some fresh air and give EA\DICE some credit for making a fairly MOD friendly Patch.

I know some code people that were very worried up till today, lol. :rock:

Amen to that! These guys are light-years beyond Dice/EA. Three cheers for POE!!

I dont think EA/Dice had anything to do with it the patch. Considering the patch was unannounced and was out for download before any news hit the major sites.
Just the smart guys that make up the PoE2 dev team on the ball.

EA|DICE had nothing to do with it other than making the patch, announcing it several weeks in advance, and saying it would be mod friendly.

Good job on moving quick POE, this seems to be a good patch overall, so far, lol.
