Ok, so I ran my computer at system requirements lab for Call of Duty 4, and I passed everything except CPU speed.

"Minimum: Pentium 4 2.4 GHz/ Athlon 64 2800+ (Intel & Athlon 1.8 GHz Dual Core or better supported)
You Have: 1.61 GHz"

I can run the demo smoothly at low settings, which is fine by me, but will I run into problems in multiplayer? Or when the action gets really intense? And if it is a problem, any way to increase CPU speed without buying a new computer? (It's a laptop btw,and I'm not going to get a new rig for a while.)
Thanks for the help guys.

no, I have the same CPU and I can run on medium/hight settings(Video Card NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS), about the multiplayer it should run better.

Moar system specs, plx!

It'd be nice to see what all you have, to get a better feel. Like D-Max above w/ a pretty GPU, if you have, say, a GeForce 6600 you won't get the same experience. MP tends to be harder on the CPU as it has to deal with where everyone's at and where they're going, but if you have a nice GPU and keep it on low it sounds like you'd be fine.

Alright, here's what I have:

CPU: AMD Turion(tm) 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-52
CPU Speed: 1.61 GHz
System RAM: 2.0 GB
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 (Build 2600)
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce Go 7200 (GeForce Go 7200)
Sound Card: Conexant High Definition Audio
Disk Space: 26.4 GB
DVD: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GMA-4082N

I think that's everything... I don't know much about hardware, so I probably gave you a bunch of extra crap and left out some stuff, so let me know.

As I suspected, your video card isn't as powerful as D-Max, but I didn't know your CPU was dual core... You'll probably not have too much of a problem then. As far as graphics, donecting't be exp to turn bloom on and keep your FPS, along with other video card intensive settings, but for lag and slow downs in multiplayer, not really a worry :)

Cool. Don't really mind if the graphics aren't maxed or anything, and no lag on multiplayer will make me a happy player. :D
Thanks for easing my fears guys. :salute:

yeah when it comes to MP, it takes less stress off the GFX and CPU ;)

Silly question here guys: is there a lefty mode in this game? You know, where the gun is on the left side of the screen instead of the right? I'm a lefty myself (obviously) and while I'm fine with the gun on the right, I think I saw a beta vid with the gun on the left, so if I could do that it would be cool. And if there is, where is it?
