Does anyone know when this mod is supposed to be released, it seems to have been going on for ages.

Lots of mods going the extra mile are taking some time, not just them.

Its one thing to change what you see with a mod, to change the way the game plays and feels, thats a different story.

Take your time giving us your free work guys, do it correct, and the fans will be there with smiles when its ready. :cool:

long time Febuary 2007 is the planed release date. There is no offical date but it will probably be released in febuary

forgotten hope must be the largest mod out there, the ammount of maps, weapons, land vehicles, air vehicles, sea vehicles and armies is crazy, the mod for bf1942 was huge in size, i can allmost see a 20GB mod comming out :p

Ive got a nice 8mb connection soon to go up to 16mb so that dosnt bother me ;) .

Okay I did some research and counting and I added up all the things from the 1942 version of the FH mod so people can get an idea of how long this mod will take.
There are...
10 armies
54 maps
109 weapons
251 vehicles

plus you have to consider all the new content, statics, and the other little things involved with mapping and moding:D

I cannot wait for the mod either...a while back I voiced my concern over the lack of players the longer it takes (moving on to 2142 etc.). The dev team has a very stern opinion of that argument - they feel that those that want the WWII mod will be there for it when it gets here and it will not be a rush job. In the end I hope there will be enough servers with enough bodies at acceptable pings that I can find a game at the drop of a hat.

i think it would be in the best interest of FH to release the mod in sections of 500mb, but password them similar to how poe did it with torents. then when you downloaded the last 500mb chunk of the mod there would be a pass in the read me. for the extractor to extract all the pieces to gether into the mods folder.

as it stands its looking like a massive mod and i think it will put people off from downloading it if its in one big piece
