Nations At War v3.9.6 Released

The team behind the Nations At War (http://www.nations-at-war.com/) mod have sent us some news today that Nations At War v3.6.9 has been released. This new BF2 1.4 patch approved version also includes a number of changes. Take a look:

Change list from v3.9 - v3.9.6

- stinger damage explosion range decreased and trigger type changed.
- ABR guns now have radar and Increased fire rate and velocity.
- All Com-rose and Commander/Squad Leader Comms corrected.
- Vehicle Drop enabled on all maps capable.
- Bradley/Wz551 now have increased armor and 6 seating positions
1- Driver, 2- Turrent control, 3,4,5 Rear gunports and 6 Missile control
- Linebacker/Tungusta/Type95 now have radar and 3 seats and adjustments to pitch of anti-air gun
(to fix problem with spaming flags)
1- Driver , 2 Gunner (gun and anti air missiles) and 3 Turret ports
- Tanks now have choice of Heap or Sabbot rounds
- All Kit loadouts have changed for better gameplay
- Pickup kits are now available on the UAV trailers.
1- Heavy Sniper kit,
2 - Heavy Engineer Kit,
3 - Heavy Support,
4 - Anti Air Kit
- Heavy Sniper and simrad have X3 zoom features.

Does the mod have Coop/Single player bot support?
not as yet.

we are working on v4 as i type, and this will be SP and COOP. as we will be having SO MUCH new content on v4 we are having issues with AI coding.

so on that point, if any AI gurus would like to help out, visit our ts.

I did try it, it was one of the first mods i tried, actually the First, didnt think much of it, i have downloaded every major mod that has come out and i still prefer vanilla. But each to their own.

Vanilla BF2 is useless filled with people who are interested in getting points and not having fun.

Teamwork adds a whole new aspect to any game.

I download the 1st release, wasnt impressed.. This version looks better. But the only thing is.. :(

Its just reskins for VBF2 and thats it, and some coding to allow more ppl to sit in diffferent tanks/apc's. But I do like that "Medic" Chopper? Can a NAW tell me more about it? :D Like can u just get on the chopper and it will heal you? or is it just 4 look's and a re-skin :(

hey bird i saw u in ur usi fmj server and i liked it alot i hope when the patch comes out u get a server back on usi.

and now back 2 naw wats in the heavy kits and is there a place i can get the full build?

I played this awhile back and it was pretty good a 7/10 but the problem was custom vehicles lagged. Mainly the pickup. But it looks a lot better now

naw has never said it is a full conversion.

like i said before, it is a modifications of bf2 for our tournament.

it makes both teams equal in terms or available weaponry and accuracy and damage.

v4 will contain new content, along with SP/COOP support.

POE2 seems to have taken most of the private servers which were hosting the various mods.Hopefully in the future when the interest in POE2 dies down other mods will again get the look in that they deserve. When NAW ver 3.9 came out there were 60+ servers hosting the mod.

you download the .exe and run it.

it patches your naw directory and leaves a shortcut on your desktop to the readme.

Its cool, but its no POE.

ok yah i went here http://totalbf2.filecloud.com/files/file.php?user_file_id=249086 and hit the dl thing after waiting. i hit open and it takes about 10 minutes is that right? Next i hit run when the new thing pops up. When the nations at war thing pops up i hit next, agree, then have the folder be named Nations At War MOD\v3.9.6 Patch. I hit next a few more times then it says succesfull install but the only thing nex is a 3.9.6 changelog and the 3.9 version i have installed did not change. Please help i am not good w/ computers so be specific

i am in the US and all the servers but 1 are over seas. the only server that has any people on it is passworded.

It would have been nice of you to go to the nations at war forums and discuss this before you came out with such a statement....If the mod was crap we wouldnt have had so many people playing it in the past.It works on most people's computers and if it doesn't for any reason we help them to sort it out.Make sure that your settings are on medium and if you still have a problem join the nations at war forum and im sure someone there will help you.

I have a monstor machine and just for your game i have to run it 400x600 windowed per your suggestions. i do not think so. 4 maps cause crashing if not more. then they want people to download map packs again etc. what a waste of time and downloads and even trying anymore. once again DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS. this has more bugs than BF2 Vanilla

What maps?

I have a pretty bad machine, but it runs fine on it. There are fixes for 2 maps. And on a few other maps, like Gazala, you need settings on medium.

i dont need to run BF2 on medium i have it cranked up all the way same with POE2 cause my machine can handle it fine. if i can not for NAW then throw it away

I had the same thing happen to me, I got all happy about the patch, tried to connect to a server, and found none. Plus I think the link page for the servers at the NAW web page is way out dated.
