Hi all.
I never used planes in any BF2 movies probley because of the speed ? and i dont think iv'e seen any good shots in movies with them so i thought id try it. Stuck a few shots together, A10 as its the slowest ? and im crap at flying. its about 40 seconds long nothing special not for a film just a test.
Low res http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-63048025506875875

The stuff you are doing so far with it looks good smiley.. I am not sure if you tried slowing down the clip so you will be able to stay tracked to the camera more while the camera is moving in the air. Im sure with that sort of footage, you will make it look good with the zooms. I did see alot of ground shots, sometimes one after another.. Im pretty sure after you get other sort of tracking angles.. it will be alot more justifiable.
Good work so far

awesome camera angles, do something like this next time
two jets chasing each ohter and as they fly by have the camera shake and add some wind effects, that would be sweet:cool:

The tracking is free hand, Slowing down the play back is fine for pan shots but following the plane ' free hand ' is not great its either to fast or to slow to stay with the plane no matter what play back speed. I like the cockpit shot, i'll play around with them a bit more and post them.

Hmm, okay..
I guess the best way to go is recording at the highest possible resolution and just zooming in, like you are doing..
