I like how it focuses on US/UK combined against Russia/China, and whilst i wouldn't consider The UK, a superpower.. It's nice to be able to fight the red star alliance instead of terrorists for a change. It's like.. this conflict could happen in the future.

QW has aliens (Strogg), Crysis has Aliens and now this has russians/chinese.

Looking at the stuff thus far, it looks amazing. It has a good story, now bring on the BETA.

Did you read my post? This game takes place a few years to 1 and a half decades in the future. The Middle East is almost out of oil on that timescale, so why fight over a useless region? The war will be fought where the most oil is left, and by that time it will be Kazakhstan.

No doubt that there will be maps in the middle east as that area is seen as the foundation of the worlds oil supply, but I agree nice to be fighting a different foe.

I bet there probably will be a couple maps set in the middle east. However, I doesn't seem like any there will be any Middle Eastern faction. That is unless they add them in an expansion pack.

I agree with SkyRaptor, for me it is US/EU look like aggressors. However, SkyRaptor, I wouldn't say "Impossible" it terms of China, even now. I predict, they play nice before they achieve two goals:
- be better economic power (read: they want to subordinate rest of world from their cheap products)
- they will not do anything "stupid" before olympic games (that should be in 2010, right?)
But I'm just speculating...

In Utah there's supposed to be alot of oil underneath that land. Except it's very deep. So deep that it would be too expensive to drill for it. I wonder if they would (in the future) consider the cost of drilling for it just because it would be one of the few places.
