your cdkey is invalid

i play bf2 mainly on a desktop. but for a short time i played it on my laptop last october when the desktop when down.

anyway, i updated to 1.4 on this laptop last week. and today is the first day i tried to play bf2.

the moment i try to connect to a server i get this message "your cdkey is not valid"

i'm not sure what this mean and what i can do to fix this. it is the same cdkey that i use on the desktop. and i know that computer is not even on at the moment...

it has something to do with patching and versions, make sure same version is ticked

Umm you put it in wrong when you installed it...

Yes you can put it a cd key and it will go but it wont be vaild

i guess you are better than us then.. good job .. I was wondering why they even needed serial #'s if you can just install any ol number and it works... glad you figured out there tricks for us.. :confused:
