New Frontlines: Fuel Of War Videos

After quite a bit of silence, we finally have some new news today for Frontlines: Fuel of War. The news comes in the form of four new videos to check out brought to us by the guys over at Game Informer (http://www.gameinformer.com/). Here's what they had to say:

ohh man, how awsome are thoese drones!!!! i just hope they arent impossible to kill as an infantryman. i think they are tapping into a very power gamers phyce, for some reason everyone is intrigued with sacrificing themselves for a kill, (ie c4 laden fast movers) now you can do it and still have your soldier live.

will be very interesting to see how vulnerable a soldier is while hes in the drone view.

OT: Damn... I was writing BIG post about this, but accidentally disabled my power filter and lost everything I wrote :(

BUT!

ZOMG!! LOL!! WOW!! <- these can hardly express what I was when watching this one of the greatest piece of stuff of FFOW.

Everything looks great (and I don't mean graphics only!) I love physics! Sounds are great (well, maybe few exceptions, but oh well... ;) ) Just WOW. I'm going to buy this by 101%
One lil concern tho... Some drones have HUD with reticule, some not... I think this could make some issues with balance... but we'll see... Soon I hope :)

all the things i saw in this vid. look fun to play with, and with me being a war fan, and weapons expert i love that M1A3.


P.S. And i know it's shocking to find a 13 year old boy being a weapons expert. :D

I don't like how the weapons seem overly powerful. I'm not sure but they just seem a little 'cartoony' in their power. But destructable objects ftw!

Oh, iam downloading them know and i cant wait to watch them! Iam really looking forward to getting this game i only wish i knew the specs!

Oh man those videos are off the hook! Though the drones and little tiny vehicles while they are cool and all they are suicide vehicles and i don't like that more that i like them as recon and perhaps a few search and destroy vehicle.

i was starting to get a little worried about FFOW was looking,but now im absolutly shocked!..the explosions are huge,the lighting works well,and damn do those drones look like alot of fun,i hope they dont dominate the warzone.

BF2142 helicopters hover, while FFOW ones have propellers. And Most futuristic rocket launchers look the same. I mean go play time splitters they will have the same basic design.

You should download firefox so you can spell correctly, that is why I use firefox.

Wow, its nice to see some in game footage. That video was awesome. The game looks great. I also noticed that some of the buildings seem destructable. :D

All I can say is wow! I was a little upset with the screenshots I saw of this game and it looked like it was not going to take full advantage of the UE3 engine it uses. But damn! All that just wen't out the window! The explosions looked killer, I loved all the big chuncks of the vehicles that flew off them, and all the dust and dirt kicked up by bullets and tank shells. The Aircraft looked a little on the slow side IE the jets were realy slow in the air. The tracers looked awsome and lighted up the battle feild. The Drones look sweet! I can't wait to use that remote car bomb and blow up enemy tanks from behind.

Also the weapon power seems perfict. Unlike in BF games were infantry weapons other than AA guns, and rockets don't do jack to aircraft. Looks like MGs have the power they need too. IE can nock down some walls, and kill infantry and aircraft with ease. Only thing I thought was bad was the bland colors in the game. IE not much green in the maps, and lots of yellows, and oranges. It made the game look to bright and cartoony. Other than that I think I will be buying the game for sure!

i totally agree.
some more green,greys and browns would make it look alot better,even just a slight desaturation to take out some of the colour brightness.........its extremely difficult to make things look realistic in computer games,there are so many little things that make up a realistic image,not too mention the amount of polygons that are needed.
