the computer hardware in the past months and in the future months is an image of the cold war space race, core 2 was released some weeks ago, and intel already is releasing quad core (tho not real quad, only 2 core 2 chips in one) in January. So it is a really hard decision, but I think that the new gpu cards will trigger massive upgrades.

Last I heard the new GeForce 8's may come out around October/November, but all that is is rumors...

The last article with some info (again...could be just rumors) that I'm aware for is from back in February saying that the GeForce 8's would be out in June (two months ago)--so obviously that wasn't entirely accurate (or it was accurate at the time and nVidia ran into delays).

Reallistically I am probally just going to get vista, my system is top notch, I would like to get a dual core CPU though seeings how they said the game will utalize Dual Core CPU's to their fullest ablilitey.

i gotta update my CPU everything else is awesome. I figure if i can play bioshock on high i wont have troubles playing Crysis on medium

Maybe, If I do good in school i'm having an uncle hook me up with what ever I want, but I might get ps3 instead, not sure yet. I have to think about it. (get $600+ video card, and have to upgrade something else right away or soon in the future or just get 80gb ps3 and hook it up to internet and play on that.

amd 4400+ was 500$ when i got it
Radeon x1800 256mb was 400$ when I got it
19' LCD was 400$ when i got it...
The list goes on, it's very depressing when I go to tiger direct and see my **** for like 500$ total now lmao. gayy
