Do you think they will do what they did with the Console games? They used to be 50 dollers but now the xbox 360 ones are 75 because they say it costs more money to make them.
Do you think this will be the case for crysis? I would not put it past them, I mean if people are willing to spend thousands upgrading for the game why would they not pay more for it?
That could be their logic for doing something like this.

Actually the 360 games are 65, atleast that's the price I buy them at. The only game I bought for 75 was MADDEN 07, but because it was the Hall of Hame Edition.
I would expect it to range between 60-70. PS3 games are said to maybe reach 80. Even with the premature images we are getting, this game looks unvelibable.

I don't know, but I'm a guy who's buying special editions of games, so when the price goes up to 75 I want some extra thinks like poster or map or soundtrack.
@Puerto: Who made your sig?? OO

To be honest I would pay 100 for the game so long as I already have the harware to squeez the DX10 out of it.

Except Vista, of course. ;)
80 bucks doesn't sound too bad to me. However, you gotta keep in mind they are going to want to keep the game as affordable as possible so it sells good. Considering that it is already rated (or will be rated) "M" (which lowers the sales just a tad), I don't think that they are going to make it too pricy.

When they make a nice box for it with a poster or something, I would pay 80€.

And I'm talking about euros, not pounds. ;)
80 US Dollar = 66.14905 Euro
80 Euro (EUR) = 96.75120 US Dollar (USD)

I hate all the things that makes it hard, when you go to a different country, like language and money, language could be changed but money can't, cause of the world trading and the equity market.

I think they will stick around the $50 price point. If you price a PC game to high:
1. Reduced sales from simply not willing to pay the price.
2. People deciding the price is too high and may try to download a copy on the net.
You can't download (that I'm aware of...I don't own a console, so I dunno) X-Box 360 games on the net, so the publisher doesn't have to worry about this form of Arbitrage...
As for next gen console games "being harder to develop"...I call ******** for two reasons. PC's are by FAR the hardest platform to develop for because of ALL the different possible combinations of components and software (ask any developer (not the publishers...they're full of ****). The O/S, the mobo chipset, the soundcards, the graphic cards, the graphic card drivers...)...so many permuntations.... Consoles have ONE set of hardware (maybe two....with these new versions) and that is it.
You do realize that one of the reasons that next-gen cosnole games cost a lot is for the licensing fee that the7y have to pay. That is how Microsoft makes money off of the 360: it sells the console at a loss and recoups that on the games.
