Even though Crysis has yet to be released, it seems the makers of this highly anticipated game have another project they are working on as well (as far as we can conclude anyway). That's right, FarCry 2 it appears is in the making! Here's what the guys from British Gaming Blog (http://www.britishgaming.co.uk/) had to say about it:

This time round, Far Cry won’t be a solo affair in the Jungle. Jack’s incursion into a tropical forest full of baddies is replaced with a team of soldiers exploring and fighting in a variety of locals. Andre Hyppolite, Frank Bilders, Hakim Echebbi, Marty Alencar, Nasreen Davar, Paul Ferenc, Warren Clide and Yosip Idromeno make up the intrepid cast of characters.

Ok, so it’s true we don’t know anything about this game – we don’t know what console it’s on, if Crytek are making it and what the story is, but BGB will walk you through the concept art accidently let out by Ubisoft.

Far Cry 2 won’t fall far from its tree, the Ubisoft title won’t lose what made it so popular and will indeed have a massive Jungle environment. The abundance of vegetation will be mirrored by a massive amount of buildings and settlements. Huts and Military Bases will of course be included, but also much more substantial structures such as Manors and maybe even plant life research stations. Read more... Now keep in mind, this is not official news and very little is known thus far about this upcoming game. But to read more and to check out two videos showing off the engine's different features and effects, visit the entire article (http://www.britishgaming.co.uk/?p=1293).

The concept arts are quite nice and Crytek will develop it? First I will play Crysis and then I see what's coming...

Yeah they are just concept arts as Metaretron said.

But what I find cool is all ready from those concepts you can see they are wanting to do more than just a jungle environment...since we see some desert type of shots in there. We see how realistic these guys can make the jungle, will be great to see what other environments they can do well.

Atleast it will be something different for any of the original players of FarCry, where all we got was jungle. ;)

Indeed, more enviroment makes it cooler, but let's hope, the story and gameplay will be very great too. :)

Those arts looks awesome, if the in-game graphics would be just like this, it's going to blow every other game away..

Indeed, the desert environment should be interesting to see.

Concept art looks good. I never did play Far Cry because of the fact I could not get my CD verification to work so that was total crap, if they fix that I will buy this game if it does turn out taht this is another game.

Just to let everybody know. Crytek will have no association with FarCry 2. Also, concept art does not represent ingame graphics or anything like that, concept art is purely to put ideas and concepts into a rough perspective so the developers all know exactly what kind of feel/envrionments the game is going for. So the only thing these pictures have done is show us all that FarCry 2 won't just be in the jungle/complex on a tropical island like the original.

Have we said anything different? No, we just said, that there will be more environment, not more. ;)
