Looks massive, I wont be getting one anytime soon, they just cost to much, plus think of the PSU you are gonna need?
I am probably just going to get another 7900 GT and run them in SLI with DX9.0L when that comes out for XP.

Im going with ATI on the DX10.
I think the 8800 only uses a 256 memory bus campared to ati's
512 controler. Also the DDR4 on the R600 will give ATi a nice performance bump over Nvidia's DDR3.
But I guess only time will tell. But if the specs are correct I can see no other way. ATI,s DX 10 card on paper will be faster the Nvidia.
Only Thing that Im woundering about is how vast the price gap will be.
Ati's card will no doubt have more of a kick at your wallet.
just woundering how long will my bum hurt.

My plan is to get an X2800XTX around when dx10 games actually come out. That way the price wont be so high. Buying a 400+ dx10 card now is completely pointless and a huge waste of money.

Vash, dont forget, they are backwards compatible with dx9. So you can get some good gfx on all games. ;)

I have an nVidia 7950 GTX at present, and I will probably go to ATI's DX10 card when it comes out, let's hope it's as good as the 8800GTX

I know its back compatible but my current dx9 card handles all the dx9 games i have just fine. Im saying why spend 400 now when u could spend 200 a lil later when its true power will be used.
^^^ 320 Stream Processors - A dream come true ^^^ Bottleneck anyone? Let's hope not.
