You do not need vista to run dx10 right, just a dx19 card.

You need vista to have dx10, but you don't need it to play crysis, you will just have to play it on dx9. Also I wana see a dx19 card. :D

So then why are all these people buying these DX10 cards when Vista is not even out yet?
On newegg.com people are saying they are getting 80 plus frames better then there old cards.

Why invest on dual 7900? or a 7950? or any other card, if they are not compatible with DX10? To only have it a couple of months and then have to upgrade because you are dying to use DX10?
Yes, of course, the cards are way overpriced right now, will probably not be as effective as future cards and prices will go down in a couple of months but some eye candy fanatics just can't wait. To sum it up...If you currently own a DX9 card and can wait a few months, DON'T invest unless it is an unreal offer. Anyone who invests on a DX9 card right now is losing their money, unless they don't intend to use DX10. The way I look at it is: If you want to upgrade now, upgrade preparing for the future (buying a 8800 with a kickass Power Supply so that when Vista comes out, all you need to do is buy the OS).
I would buy the 8800, infact, I almost did, but seeing how there are no DX10 games out there at the moment I decided to hold back. Once we start getting DX10 games with vista I will consider my options. By that time, I'm sure we will be seeing cheaper, more effective DX10 cards.

Hopefully they will have all the bugs out of VISTA by the time crysis comes out.

Yeah, they should have a few months before the game comes out.

Well, don't ruin our fun. As reaper said, this is a fan site after all. I don't think its perfect either, but I really like it so far.
