A user of inCrysis (http://www.incrysis.com/) named Doc has posted up some DX9 vs DX10 comparison shots for us all to see. Take a look:

Though it's hard to do because the player/camera are never in the same spot, I've tried to take a few screenies from the GDC HD tech demo (DX9) versus the M$ Press Conference HD montage (DX10.) DX9 is always on the left in WMP and DX10 is on the right in WMM.

WARNING: Both of these movies were taken right around February 2006. They do not represent current graphical status or features of Crysis. I post them as they are; a comparison of the only public footage we have to date that has similar footage on similar builds.

This justifies my building of a new rig, cant wait.

Nice find. DX10 certainly does look impressive, I'l make sure my rig is ready for it by mid next year.

Oh, and by the way, I think you should've pointed this out in the initial post:

To be fair in all this, the DX9 footage is shot at lower bit rate (3264) versus the DX10 shots (7000.)

These comparisons are great, but maybe next time it needs something in each screenshot to focus on. Something that will definitely show the difference.

In the jungle comparison it is very obvious, however, that DX10 destroys DX9. Vista for the win, we hope.
