I was watching one of the fly through videos and I noted at the begining of the video there was the big EA stamp.

If this is the case, will we have to put up with possible in game advertising and be forced to lease servers (for multi player) instead of operate our own !?

EA is just the publisher. They haven't even gone through with the ads in 2142. I think that if there are any ads they will be fake, not live.

Correct. That is a common mistake by many people. They think EA made the game. If you can blame them for something, it's for hurrying DICE to release unfinished products, nothing else.

You are lucky, I never ever played the game online because it would not verify the CD key, I installed my firewall and turned off windows firewall, bypassed my router and ti still would not work.

I had FarCry and after passing the Singleplayer part of the game I traded it in at EBX. I never found the online play appealing for that game. Was it any good? From comments of Crytek employees themselves, it sounds like even they were dissapointed.

If you know what's the deal with their latest PC releases, you certainly couldn't be more reliefed to see EA's logo on the DVD box.

Just download the game off torrent, thats probably what I will do with future EA releases after all the problems with battlefield. If its a good game and they did a good job I will buy it.

I agree, I have had nothing but problems with ubisoft PC games, bad patches, etc.. To this day I have never got farcry to run online with 3 different pcs because of the cd verification, how gay is that?

You but a game and can play single player without verifying CD but then to play multi player you have to verify using a ****y system.

its not EA that fugged up the game, its the developer and i think DICE did a fine job on 2142 (but what IS thier excuse for BF2) oh wait i know its the stupid player base that are whining noobs that cant deal with a bunny hopper or 2 thats where the game REALLY got screwed up, everyone started complaining about tiny things and they complained so much they got thier wish but ffs it didnt need to be fixed and that my friends is where all the bugs got started they messed with the code and the problems came running off the assembly line (or maybe the problems werent really problems, they were just more complaints from noobs who cant deal with something)

When the majority of the bf2 players complain about some 'issue', I understand that DICE would want to do something about that. That most of the patches were bad is true, but they wouldn't have had to do any of the changes in those patches if all those weak-*** gamers hadn't complained about nothing.

well... yes, the player base suggests something, and when enough people complain EA tells DICE well, they want it, lets igve it to them
