The guys over at GameDaily (http://www.gamedaily.com/) have posted up a new article about their impressions of Crysis. Take a look:
As for hands-on time with the game -- it was hard to pay much attention to anything other than the real-as-real graphics -- dust flying in the air, trees splintering as bullets whiz through the leaves and the motion blurring. Props to the new Direct X 10 for making this all possible. The new tech makes the game looks so much better than it did with Direct X 9 -- which we saw at EA headquarters this past summer -- that it's really a testament to the power in Direct X technology.
As for controls, everything seemed tight and responsive. In this level, our mission was to take control of a North Korean village near the alien crash site -- and the Koreans weren't going down without a fight. We watched enemies get wise to our hiding spots and then hunt us down using objects and the jungle as cover.
