Patching Problems

Hi everyone,

I have a very strange issue. Recently when I try to go into multiplayer all of my favorites are in red and I can't connect to them.

In the top right corner it says I have version 1.1.2963-7950 of BF2

I must have a 10 patches n my game folder for BF2. And I thought I was patched all the way up to version 3.

Everytime I try to patch it back up to ver 4 I keep getting the same error that I must have version 1.2 installed... and now matter what patch I apply the version number never changes when I start the game.


I thought I would go back to the beginning and repatch and when I start with the patch 1.2 -1.2 exe incremental I get the warning that I must have ver 1.12 installed.

Why can't I patch up to 1.4?

If you have ver 3 and you start the patches over again does it set the game back to the older version?


This is so screwed up I'm thinking about reinstalling the game from the beginning.

Any thoughts?

Okay now its getting even more weird

I DLed the 1.4 patch ( the full 580 meg +) ran it and still I have red servers in my favorites WTF?
Is there a newer patch for version 1.4?

Any help would be great!!!

yeah there is a 1.41 patch out just yesterday and i would recommend doing a full reinstall

Okay so where the patch I just down loaded the 586 meg patch of EA. Is there a ncremental one for 1.4?

This is so confusing
Are you sayig to reinstall the original cd and then just patch it using the latest 1.4?

from waht ive heard they havent come out with a incremental yet

and yeah...uninstall and use the orig cd to install, and hten patch the new 1.41 patch
